My friends & I had a great experience staying here. The house was perfect for us. We enjoyed the spacious layout and the location from Bass Lake. Jackie & Lambert were both very nice and super helpful! They were very quick to respond to any questions we had and gave us really good information about the lake since it was our first time visiting there. I would highly recommend.

Great place to stay!

Lambert and Jackie have a nice property that gets you away to some peace and quiet after a long day of hanging with crowds in Yosemite. House is comfy, clean, and well-stocked. Open and quick communication with Lambert was excellent - though we didn't have any issues while there, always nice to know the owners care about their guests. Recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Yosemite.

Yosemite Bucket List

A group of 7 stayed at this property, ages ranging from 15 to 84. Our oldest family member wanted to see sequoia trees and we chose this house as our hub. The house is as advertised, well appointed, and conveniently located near Oakhurst. We had deer in the yard twice, saw tons of quail, and other birds. One small issue occurred and the Lamberts were very prompt and helpful. We would highly recommend this home. It was very clean, quiet, and a great spot!

The first night, a neighbor dog barked nearly all night. Nothing against the homeowner here, but worth noting. The kitchen supplies are a little lacking. Could use a cookie sheet or two for roasting vegetables. The master bed is really soft. Expect to sink into it.

Not completely satisfied

It was very unfortunate that the AC, was not working the first day of our stay. Sleeping was really not comfortable at all. We saw a few ants and spiders inside the property which was scary specifically for my kids. I believe the owner or management should check the property before guest arrive.

National Parks Trip

My family enjoyed our stay. The house itself was lovely and comfortable—plenty of space and clean. We felt at home when cooking meals and hanging out while we were there. The openness of the floor plan made it very easy for everyone to be together and participate in activities and conversations while also providing a loft, outside seating areas (in the front and the back), and space to be alone or relax as needed. The location was nice as well. Oakhurst had a quaintness to it, but was also large enough for the convenience of big-name grocery stores and options for restaurants. We even did an Art/Wine hop. The property was close to Yosemite and a nice drive to Kings Canyon and Sequoia. We enjoyed seeing multiple parks and having one place to call home during our stay. The owners provided speedy and appropriate responses as needed. Very polite and obliging. Highly recommended. Beautiful area!

Our stay was nice with a few exceptions. 1. The sliding door to the back needs work it was difficult to open and close.a screen door on the slider would have been nice. 2. Main restroom toilet is leaking at the base.3. Back bedroom with twin beds. There was a pair of dirty little girls underwear.4. Master bedroom toilet handle needs to be replaced flapper stays open. Also the sink faucet is loose. 5 the barbecue grill had a busted wheel and bricks were placed under corner. 6. We found an old hot dog bun behind the bench outside. The recycle garbage can at the street was over filled and I think the neighbors dogs knocked it over and trash was all over the street.

Beautiful, clean, modern, comfortable

The hosts obviously care about their guests as evidenced by the level of detail found in each room. The feeling is warm, but modern. The décor is neutral with just the right pops of color. The kitchen is supplied with all necessary tools to prepare a full meal, even including condiments and spices. In the garage are all cushions to outdoor furniture left clearly marked, cleanly and conveniently placed in zip-up bags. The smart thermostat and a/c works very well and kept us plenty cool. Very nice TV sets in living room and master with remote controls. Finally, the house is in a lovely forest setting with gas fire pit and seating in the front and picnic table, bench and charming dinette set (just off the master) in the back. Beyond the material quality of the place, our host was positive and quickly responded to all my inquiries. I highly recommend vacationing at this fine house!

Great location for exploring

The house was perfect for our needs. We had 2 adults and one 12 year old. We visited Yosemite and Sequoia national parks. The house was very clean and all instructions were good with accessing the house. Communication with the home owners was easy and quick. We didn't cook much so I can't say if they had everything but they certainly had a good assortment of cookware and utensils. Bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels and beds were comfy. I would definitely stay here again if I were to re-visit the parks.

Great house

We have nothing but positive things to say about our stay at this Oakhurst home. Lambert and Jackie make booking and check in easy and the house is well equipped. We cooked dinner each night during our stay as we were tired from long days exploring Yosemite. The drive to the park entrance is an easy one. Comfortable, clean and quiet and tasteful. What more can you ask for in a vacation rental?

Best cabin trip yet!!!!

This is by far the best cabin trip yet!!!! I always take my family out this time of the year for my birthday. We got there late and the owner "Lambert" allowed us to check out late. It was snowing the night we got there but it was great! My kids never seen it snowed before so it was a plus!!!! It snowed through out the whole weekend!!! Then Monday was it was time to come home the sun came out and its the worst part about being at the cabin. Having to go back home. I will definitely go back again!!!! Thanks you so much!!!! Don’t miss the opportunity to stay in this wonderful home and be this close to Yosemite!

We flew into SFO airport and drove to Oakhurst for a visit with our son who lives and attends school in Fresno. We had no idea what to expect as we had never been to California, but we wanted to see Yosemite while there. Lambert and Jackie were quick to respond to any questions we had and very helpful. We arrived easily with the directions they provided and found everything we needed to have a home cooked dinner on the table in about an hour. Our son, his fiancé and her parents joined us for dinner and there was ample room to spread out in the comfortable living area afterwards. The next morning we drove to Glacier Point and watched the sun come up over Half Dome. It was about 45 minutes to drive and we’ll worth getting up early for- simply beautiful!! Location of the house is great and very peaceful with mountain views from the upstairs loft and watching the deer from the back patio. This is a perfect place for families or couples looking for a relaxing vacation. Everything in this home was top notch and we will definitely come back again if we get the opportunity!

We especially loved the beds- incredibly comfortable and luxurious! I recommend this peaceful home to anyone needing a little break from life - and to visit nearby Yosemite.
