"Location great! Front desk friendly and helpful. Great suite with view. Comfortable main bed but very, very uncomfortable sofabed. The sofa bedsprings were hard and unavoidable and sofa mattress old and doesn’t accommodate 2 people like advertised. Dirty, old carpeting in halls and room. Needed to wear slippers in room to keep feet clean. Wish there was wooden floors to mop/sterilize after every guest because Berkeley streets are very dirty from human waste and that gets transferred into hotel room floors."

"The staff was friendly, inviting, helpful, and professional. The room was spotless, quiet, and the bed was comfortable; pretty much what you’d want in a nice hotel room. The breakfast was surprisingly subpar though. The oatmeal was watery (a fellow guest told me that the previous day the oatmeal was much better), and my wife thought that the scrambled eggs, biscuits, and gravy were all rather flavorless. The coffee I got was warm but not hot; the other machine dispensed hot coffee. The waffle was very tasty. The other improvement we’d suggest would be the pillows. They were thick and really lumpy, in the sense that the filling wasn’t smooth and unnoticeable. Instead, it felt like they were filled with thick cotton balls. We’d never experienced such a thing. We didn’t mention it to the front desk because we returned to the hotel late after an event and were already tired and in bed before we realized how weird the pillows were. All in all we’d stay at the hotel again, but would have a back-up plan for breakfast and maybe bring our own pillows."

"I liked everything there isn't anything I changed or complain about , the staff was polite and helpful keeps the room clean and organized like the balcony good breakfast,the property is clean and quiet,walking distance to store, fast food and close to the Oakland airport.I will recommend the Courtyard Marriott to my friends and family, PS they just need to fix the coming in and going out gate other than I like the Courtyard."
