"This is the perfect place for someone who's just passing through and needs to get some shut eye. It's not for the fate of heart when it comes to train noise, but it is generally quiet otherwise. Unfortunately the neighborhood has been going through hard economic times and many of the hotels that were operating in the area have closed down entirely. Presumably because this hotel is old and likely paid for a long time ago it can remain open but there isn't a lot of extra money around to spruce it up. That's particularly true because there have been plans in place for a long time to replace it with a new modern hotel. I don't think I'd want to bring my family here but I found it to be the same last night as I found it to be 40 years ago when I stayed here on a regular basis. Comfortable close to the action and value oriented"
