The room was very clean. Breakfast had good selection of bagels, toast, instant oatmeal, cereal, yogurt cups & waffles along with coffee and tea. Staff was pleasant & helpful. Restaurants across the street. I didn’t need parking, but there was ample free parking.Water & coffee in the lobby.

Nice hotel near UC Berkeley. Plenty of parking and the hotel appears well maintained. The manager is nice and very accommodating. They have coffee all day long and it has a good taste. Neighborhood has small shops and restaurants. There is a bus stop steps away and bus #51B takes you straight to UC Berkeley’s historic entrance; avoid the parking headaches. We will return to this hotel. Thank you.

With the mosaics on the entry floor this property was once a gem. It has not been updated and looks like it has been run down for years. This is the second time I came. After seeing the underlying bed sheets stained so badly i didn’t stay but I had little choice this time since I booked through Expedia and paid already. Sad the owners can’t invest and invest and modernize this great property. Additionally the window curtains are badly stained and the breakfast serves a paucity of choices. On the plus side the staff does their best to help and welcome you. It’s not their fault in any way the property is so retro.
