Large cottage 1-bedroom 1-bath, located in the prestigious Alameda Gold Coast neighborhood, close to the Oakland Airport, minutes walk to the beach, easy transportation to San Francisco by ferry, bart, or bus, near Oakland Coliseum and Oracle Arena, conveniently located with coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores. Next to Crown beach with spectacular view of San Francisco.

The space
The cottage is the back unit of a Gorgeous Victoria house. It is updated and decorated with French Country theme, with a private yard and outdoor dining and seating area. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and welcoming. Cottage is equipped with high speed internet (free wifi), flat screen TV, and wash/dryer.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire cottage and the garden.
Interaction with guests
I am a very easy going person. Every guest will be respected and be cared for during their stay. Absolutely no problem if you break a dish, a glass, or accidentally scratch a table or spill something on the carpet. Things are meant to be used and guests should live freely during their visit.

Party is not allowed and quiet time is 9:30pm.

The Little Cottage that Could

Very nice little house and was great for our large dog. The dog park was within walking distance. Standard size frig and oven were great along with a kitchen table that comfortably seated four. Host was very responsive!! Would easily stay again!

Cute cottage in a great part of town

Cottage was super! Spacious and comfortable with all the amenities one could ask for. Private patio was a great bonus. The neighborhood was very quiet. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops just a short walk away. Also a short walk to the beach. Wonderful place to stay!

Fun times in Alameda

Cottage was bigger than expected. So cute! Very pretty and walkable neighborhood, close to coffee shops and cafes. Easy Uber ride to the ferry for some day trips to SF. Our host answered immediately anytime I texted. Will look forward to staying here again.

Lovely Cottage in a Lovely Neighborhood

If you are visiting the bay area but want to stay in a beautiful cottage away from the hustle and bustle, this cute cottage in Alameda is the perfect place. Good price, dog friendly, comfortable, and they don't require a 2-3 night stay. Close to the beach and Webster St. I'll be staying there again in a few weeks.

Perfect Stay

Love this rental for numerous reasons! Location is ideal. (Short walk to Lazy Bird coffee for those who enjoy that!) Wonderful neighborhood with gorgeous homes and gardens. The cottage feels large for a one bedroom. Kitchen is beautiful and well appointed! Bed was so comfy! TV with plenty of offerings, WIFI was fast, shower great, (living room furniture is adequate but not "comfy" per se). Overall, a wonderful stay and a darling rental that met our needs extremely well! Love Alameda!

Delightful Alameda!

We had never visited Alameda before and were thankful to find a lovely spot to explore the area. If the weather had cooperated we would have enjoyed the lovely outdoor spaces at the cottage. The cottage itself was great for 2 adults (the bathroom was accessed through the bedroom). The kitchen is large and updated. The living room is also large, but could use more comfortable seating.

FELT SAFE AND SECURE

My impression of Alameda island is that it is a very safe little community. We were very comfortable walking to the many shops and restaurants on Webster Street, although common sense made us head for home before it got dark. I would also recommend taking the Alameda/Oakland Ferry to the San Francisco Ferry Station then catch a trolly to Fisherman’s Wharf. A Very enjoyable stay!

This spot in Alameda is really great, my third or fourth visit. Great location and easy parking. Indoor/Outdoor with the back door is very nice. Great neighborhood, super safe. Took the ferry to SF and caught the Blue Angels air Show. Highly recommend the Seaplane Ferry Stop in Alameda, free parking and lots of it - last Thursday at least. Lots of good stuff on Webster St - start at Wescafe and go from there. Nice and quiet place, very comfortable for our dog and ourselves. Great Kitchen Space. Highly Recommend.

Lovely pocket of Alameda

Great place for a quick weekend visit in the Bay Area. Accurate description and very clean. The walkway and path through the backyard and toward the cottage isn’t well lit - there’s a spotlight at the beginning but after that it can be hard to see. It isn’t a problem, just plan accordingly if you plan to arrive late on your first night (like I did) and have your hands full. Once I was familiar with the place, the lighting wasn’t a big deal at all. I would definitely stay here again!

Recommendation

I really enjoyed the cottage. Property manager is great and responded quickly when I needed assistance. I loved the area it’s in and Alameda is great. It reminds me of my hometown of Oak Park, IL. The bed was very comfy eatable. I do recommend upgrading the living room furniture. The couch is very uncomfortable and the whole living room could be arranged to be much more usable. However, again I really enjoyed the cottage. The patio is fabulous. I’ll be back!! 🤗

Charming Alameda Cottage

This is a sweet cottage in a very nice neighborhood. It was even larger than I expected, and was well appointed in a sort of “shabby chic“ fun & comfortable way. The bed was cozy and the outdoor area was beautiful and idyllic with lovely plants and landscaping. As a woman alone, I felt very safe there. The one disappointment I had was that items you expect to be in a VRBO were not there. There were no measuring cups, measuring spoons, paper coffee filters or baking/muffin tins, and the supply of dishwasher soap, paper towels, Reynolds, wrap, and other things were low enough to last just one day. I believe that if I had taken the time to notify management, they probably would have purchased these items for me, but I decided to just go out and buy them along with groceries. Since I left what had been missing there, anyone staying at this cottage should find it well stocked. I really enjoyed this out-of-the-way cottage!

We were in Berkeley for just a couple of days and stayed in this home for one night. It was my first time booking a home, and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and perfectly decorated. Everything you need for a comfortable and welcoming stay is provided. There’s a washer, dryer, dishwasher, and all the essential kitchen items. The towels and paper products were arranged in a very thoughtful and decorative way, and the cottage also has a lovely private backyard. The beds were also very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend staying here!
