"My fiancée and I stayed at Sonesta San Jose Milpitas over the July 4th weekend for a little staycation, and once again had a wonderful experience. I had accidentally booked an accessible room instead of our usual Executive Suite. Renee at the front desk let us know there were no other rooms available, but when another guest canceled, she immediately notified us and moved us into a beautiful room. Her attentiveness and excellent customer service made our getaway that much more special. We also want to recognize the Asian gentleman at Manzanita restaurant, although we always forget his name. He remembered us as soon as we walked in, congratulated us on our recent engagement, and even told us that Sonesta hosts weddings, which we never knew. It made us feel genuinely welcomed back. He suggested trying the new shrimp tacos..Thank you, it was delicious! We also ended up ordering our usual favorites, the poke tacos, the Manzanita Burger with fries, and the apple tart à la mode. Everything was amazing. The staff consistently makes us feel like valued guests rather than just another reservation. Thank you, Renee and the entire Sonesta team, for another memorable stay. We look forward to coming back again soon!"

"Older hotel on the bay. Front desk made me wait a while to check in. I didn't feel very welcomed. The breakfast in the morning was great and staff at breakfast were friendly. If you are looking for a quiet hotel away from the city is good, but property is in need of upgrades."

"Ashley set the tone for the stay as she was very friendly and accommodating while checking me in after a long day. First impressions go a long way and her professionalism stood out while she was handling a difficult guest in a very calm and efficient manner in front of me. The layout of the property is top tier with the pool, spa, and outdoor seating areas at the center of it. The common lounge and bar area was lively. Didn’t get a chance to experience the restaurant and the coffee shop closed a bit early for us late risers. But the room was exactly what we needed with plenty of space and and some nice touches with modern technology integrated into it. Bathroom was comfortable and well designed. The double king beds were the star of the show with the mattress quality being the highest rated amenity by far and sincerely appreciated by the whole family. We have found our new go to spot for when we are in the area. Highly recommend!"
