Great stay in Rockridge

Happy to stay, excellent location, clean place and very good communication with host. Had a couple of minor suggestions for improvement for future guests which were received well. Would easily to choose to stay again when in the area.

Lovely stay and accommodating host

My one-night stay at this cottage was perfect. The space was super clean, the bed was comfy, and Chris was very accommodating to me and my service animal. Location is amazing. I felt safe arriving later in the evening. Walking distance to great coffee shops and BART and pretty central to hip neighborhoods and restaurants in Oakland. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice cottage in an interesting area of Oakland

This is a cottage behind an apartment building that was very quiet, but close to shopping and trendy stores. It was comfortable and clean and just right for a visit to my son who lives in the same area. Thank you, Chris!

Rockridge Gem

The perfect place for a couple. Just around the corner from 4 coffee houses, groceries, restaurants, boutiques. Lots of room to stretch out, super comfy bed, good shower, well supplied with everything we needed. Hope to return.

Great location

It is not a one bedroom. It is a studio with a kitchen that has no stove and the bare essentials. Coffee, no tea, 4 forks, 3 knives, 3 plates, bowls. But the location is great and it was quiet. The owner was good at communicating.

The cottage was cozy and quiet, tucked behind the main house. Everything needed was there. It is in walking distance to restaurants and shops, surrounded by a quaint neighborhood. It is close to a BART station. And Chris was a great host.

Quiet Retreat

Right off a busy street but you wouldn’t know it. The cottage is small and quiet-perfect for two. The bed was comfortable. The little courtyard right outside the house was perfect for our dog. The property is well lit.

I couldn't have been happier with my experience. The property was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully organized. The host was excellent, always prompt and helpful with communication. The neighborhood was fun to explore, with the convenience of having a grocery store and great cafes just a short stroll away. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area.

Gem!

Chris was very responsive to my many questions as a first time guest. Description is very accurate. Location is conveniently within walking distance of St. Albert’s Priory, restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. It was very nice to have the option to park on the property for a small fee. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Oakland.

Excellent Location and All You Need in Rockridge

The odd layout and back-garden access aside, this unit has all you need except a cooktop, including a large closet and a sitting area. Good heater in main area. We stayed 7 nights. Thoughtful host has provided a lot of small extras. Unit is very quiet despite its busy location. Walk to excellent grocery stores, Trader Joe, specialty markets (meat, produce, wine, bakeries). Walk 3 blocks to BART station for a magic carpet to San Francisco and the airports. You could easily stay here a while without a car. Host is responsive to issues. Parking at $10 a day extra is well worth it, but be advised you access it down a long, narrow driveway, so backing out takes a bit of skill. TV service (for me) with no cable was technically unusable. Best to plan on streaming TV to your iPad or laptop.

This was the perfect location for visiting our friends, walking to great restaurants and shops, and getting to public transit. The cottage was cozy and quiet, tucked back from the street, with a beautiful garden outside the windows. The bed was comfortable and the place had all the necessities for our stay. Chris' cottage is a quiet little spot in a busy, interesting walkable area. The cottage has everything you need and Chris is very responsive. A nice little gem in the heart of Rockridge!

This was a clean, quiet, and safe space for us to cocoon in after fast visits with friends and family. The space is small, but entirely adequate and well-appointed. We'll definitely be back.

A quiet spot with all the necessities

The little cottage was very neat and clean, off the street in a quiet courtyard. Everything that we needed was provided. The only downside was that the double bed was a little small for two adults, but there was a futon available as well.
