"We had a wonderful time during our stay! There were several nice touches like doggie supplies and materials for smores. We truly enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful scenery all around. The house was roomy and the beds were super comfortable. The only minor complaints would be the slight smell of cigarette smoke throughout the house and strange placement of the lighting and switches."

"When we arrived to the Garrett Inn, we were able to check in, and were given a key to the room, and told where to park (each room's number was plainly painted on the space for each room, however, due to the configuration of the parking lot vs the way the room's were situated, the parking spaces were off-set from the individual rooms, so when parked for the room assigned, the space was two spaces offset. The room was well appointed, two full beds, a bathroom with a pocket door, a small table with two chairs. There was a microwave and room size refrigerator in the corner of the room, with coffee fixings and a coffee pot. The beds were firm but slept good. However, there was a bit of car noise from the busy highway (Rt 219), but it calmed down after about 11 pm. There was a great restaurant across the street, and also about a quarter of a mile down the road from the motel, both served great food. This motel was perfect for those who were exploring the local area and require a base to work from, this motel is perfect. It's not a chain motel, but it's quaint and fills all the basic needs of a motel."

"My family stayed here over Labor Day weekend, and we really enjoyed our time! We especially loved how close the house is to the Falls and the Stone Maze, as well as the beautiful green space and rustic feel of the property. We also really appreciated that the property is pet-friendly—there was plenty of space for our puppy to run and enjoy. The closet in the primary bedroom was a great feature as well.My significant other and son also really enjoyed having the basketball hoop available, which was a fun bonus for the family.The only recommendation I would make is to replace the toilet, or at least the toilet seat, as it could use some updating (but understand the need to keep the “rustic” concept. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the property!"
Private Lake/Beach Cabin w/Golf, Pool, Fire pit

"We didn't realize the house was in a private resort. Not a problem. (Indeed, the additional security was comforting.) I guess we just missed that in the description. We understood it was a "lake-view" cabin. We viewed the lake after we drove around the mountain to it. Again, not a problem, just a misunderstanding. (Never found a place to go fishing but saw a lot of "No Fishing" signs.) Took a few minutes and a trip all the way around the house to get in because the screen door was stuck and felt like it was locked. A firm snatch freed it, and I was able to access the keypad. The stairs were a challenge for two old Senior Adults (one who needs assistance climbing stairs) but we seldom went anywhere, so.... And other than the incessant traffic by the place, it really is a nice place for a Western Maryland/West Virginia visit. Definitely a mountain experience. It was immaculately clean and furnished, in a beautiful setting in nature and the mountains, not too far removed from local attractions, activities, and resources; and secure. The immediate response from the host was welcome, too. If we had ever really needed anything, we knew he would respond immediately. That added to our sense of security, welcome, and service."
