Pug Seal was a WONDERFUL place to stay for our family. The location is perfect and the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and super comfortable. The staff are all amazing and make you feel like you are at home. They took care of all of our requests and needs and made sure our time in Oaxaca was perfect. We cannot thank them enough for such a great stay and trip. If you are visiting Oaxaca Pug Seal is the best place to stay!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Pug Seal! The hotel was beautiful - incredibly clean and full of great amenities. The staff was wonderful from start to finish and always was willing to help ensure that our stay was perfect. The location of the hotel is city center and within close walking distance to several vibrant local markets. The breakfast that was included with our stay was also amazing and rivaled some of the amazing restaurants that are also nearby. When we come back to Oaxaca we will surely stay at Pug Seal again.

Hotel As Art

Great designer hotel for lovers of art and architecture. Service is wonderful — the people that work there are lovely and bend over backwards to make sure your stay is excellent. Excellent chef for morning breakfasts. A well stocked refrigerator in your room, lovely choice of tea and snacks all included in your rate which is very very refreshing as opposed to hotels that nickel and dime you!!

The place is beautiful. Close to downtown (walkable distances) The staff were very friendly and helpful. Matter of fact the only time I felt uncomfortable was when one of the “owners” I guess was getting after the personnel (during breakfast) I think that could’ve been handled in a better way. Plus they weren’t doing anything wrong. They were all in the kitchen when according to the lady they should’ve been out taking care of the people (which in the moment was only my husband and I) everything else was great.

A wonderful — and very beautiful — boutique hotel with kind and very efficient staff. They spoke English expertly and were eager to help in any way needed. The breakfasts provided were delicious! The hotel is a short walk to the major tourist and shopping sites. I would definitely stay here again on future visits to Oaxaca!

Enjoyed this interesting hotel, though it was a bit expensive for waht it was. That said, very comfortable, lovely common spaces with fountain and murals. The room itself -- in the brutalist style with concrete walls, high ceiling--was a bit spare, cold and warehouse-ish but that's a matter of personal taste. The location -a bit off the main tourist zone and across from famed bakery--was great. Service was excellent, as all staff was very knowledgable about Oaxaca.
