"We loved our stay here, as a group of 8. Such a nice break from the big cities with clear views of Fuji. There wasn’t much nearby in terms of restaurants, but the nearby pizza was delicious! Spa was amazing "

"Very nice property that still retains a bit of the traditional Japanese homes, while bathroom and toilet have been renovated (really new and clean)! The area is close to Kamakura though it might require a car or bus ride (a bit of walk). and it is close to the beach on foot."

"Great location to experience mt Fuji in a relaxed atmosphere.
We stayed in the Japanese style family room which was very spacious with beautiful lake views.
Both outdoor hot springs were really lovely, one with a view to Mount Fuji.
Breakfast was excellent with breathtaking view of mt Fuji. The staff were very helpful.
Some parts of the common areas in the hotel definitely need refreshing. But overall highly recommended. "
"The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were amazing and customer focused. Really liked our first time using a public bath. Also, like the complementary ice cream.

"Had a high corner room with view. Very clean. Hotel provided a lot of amenities for use during stay. Chose to experience local restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend Gora Brewery for dinner. Hotel staff very helpful with suggestions and guidance, especially Shohei at front desk."
Ajisai Onsen Ryokan - Award Winning Private Open Air Onsen Hakone
10/10 Excellent
"Family of four stayed a regular room with very comfortable floor mats. Everything from the staff to the cleanliness and attention to detail was amazing. We really enjoyed the onsen experience including the provided yakats. Easy walk from the train station or a very inexpensive cab. We opted for the half board and that was amazing 7 course Japanese mess worth every yen! We were sad to leave."
"We had the Mt Fuji View superior twin room (middle floor = 6/F - 9/F). 26.5 m2. I requested a room on a higher floor and we got a room on 7/F. We were very happy. Once I got into the room, my first thought was "This is so luxurious!" It is indeed a luxury hotel. And there were two chairs in front of the ceiling-to-floor glass panel for us to enjoy the Fujisan view. It was amazing. We could see Fujisan at different times of the day under all different weather conditions!! Not to mention the fact that we saw the rare "ring clouds" in the last afternoon we were there! The room was even better than how it looked in the photos.
Breakfast at Robata Grill L'EAU has all the usual items plus French toasts, the famous Mishima Croquettes, grilled salmon steaks, mackerel pieces and even whole horse mackerels! The view on 13/F was just as amazing!
The hotel uses the Fujisan motif everywhere, from the room key card sleeve, the Do not disturb and Please make up room signs to the crockery in the rooms. And I think the quilt covers feature patterns of Mishima symbols. I saw them on the glass panels at the Mishima Tourist Information Centre and asked what they were. I thought that was a nice touch.
Lastly, the hotel lobby has a miniature model of the hotel with the various trains tracks and trains including Doctor Yellow (retired 29/1/25). Just lovely! And hotel merchandise for sale. "
