"Rooms were clean and comfortable. The toilet and shower were also clean. Overall good value for the place especially visiting during an extremely busy time of year (New Years) in Hakone. The descriptions/reviews provided by other guest were pretty spot on. "

"At the end of a two-week trip to Japan, Hakone Yutowa was a true highlight. We booked one of the condominium suites, which was large even by American hotel standards. The room had its own mineral hot spring bath that faced east and captured a gorgeous sunrise, as well as a spacious sitting room and comfortable beds. The hotel staff were gracious and accommodating, allowing us to leave our bags with them for a few hours after we had checked out. The meals were good, served buffet style; we ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Yukata are provided for guests to wear at meals and around the hotel grounds. The public bath was also fantastic. In the men’s bath, there were two pools, one slightly cooler than the other, as well as a sauna. Although we were not traveling with children, it’s clear that they welcome families here. There are little nooks scattered throughout the property where you will find comic books, toys, places to read and relax, and complimentary snacks and beverages. All in all, it was a really relaxing place to stay. We used the Hakone Free Pass to see the sights, and we definitely recommend the Open-Air Museum, which is one of a kind and features an incredible collection of sculptures by artists from all over the world. "
"Absolutely amazing. We booked the villa with private indoor and outdoor onsens and the space was fantastic. Like a little house, a living room, bedroom, bathroom, bath area next to the indoor onsen, outdoor deck with onsen, and a little patio kind of area outside the living room. Extremely clean and cozy, and the staff made us feel so welcomed immediately. They prepared little honeymoon surprises like a letter, a dessert, and were so sweet always. The food was wonderful and so delicious, we loved having specific dining times and even breakfast was so satisfying. We chose the Japanese breakfast and it was sooo yummy. Everyone working there is so kind, helpful, and there seems to be a lot to do! It is also right in front of the bus stop, super convenient. We took it from Hakone-Yumoto and then took it to Odawara to catch the Shinkansen. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon and first Christmas as a married couple so special. We can’t wait to come back one day!"
"Great location , free parking , excellent staffs ! Dinner was also excellent!
Wish the happy hour location is at the lounge not at the family pool area ! "
"Small but tasty breakfast, good sized and newer room, nice check in staff. Hotel room floors aren’t dirty but could use a deep clean, especially below the toilet."
