"If arriving by train in Alingsas, the Grand Hotel’s location can’t be beaten. Our room was very quiet except for the sound of the squeaky elevator passing the third floor. The housekeeping staff keep the hotel spotless. Other pluses include a comfy bed and a kettle in the room. I love staying in older hotels with charm and character. The Grand Hotel has this in spades. "A nice country B&B only 5 minutes from the airport. The only draw back is a shared bathroom and toilet, but this was not an issue. A lovely setting and I would stay again. "

"Fantastic hotel, really cool and well kept interior- excellent breakfast selection - no sign of any commonly allergic nuts e.g peanuts, pistachio. Cashew , pecan, walnut. Even gluten free selection at breakfast. Room was big and very clean and everything worked well."

The hotel is located in the train station, perfect in case of rain. The station is full of restaurants and shops for anything you may have forgotten. Across the street is Nordstan mall, also full of restaurants, a grocery store and shopping. Its a 12 min easy walk to tourist attractions/center of the city.
The hotel has a fabluous breakfast buffet every morning included. Meats, cheeses, bread, swedish pancakes, fruit/vegtables, so many more choices!
Our room was extremely quiet! We heard one noise in a week. We had a fridge, electric kettle with complimentary tea and coffee. The room was a good size, modern bathroom, large TV (never turned on) A very relaxing room as well as an inviting sitting area in the lobby.

"Lovely hotel and conference centre on outskirts of Gothenburg. You do have to get a tram and there’s a short walk to get there. Huge sports centre as part of it and park/ sports fields around it. Nice to get out of the city ( a lot of building work in Gothenburg at the time of the visit). Public transport is efficient and frequent so no problem getting to and from the hotel. Rooms basic and beds very comfortable. Everything clean. Staff on reception very friendly and helpful. "
