Really nice area close to alot of attractions in yanbaru. They give a free shuttle to the aquarium most days. Next to this resort are their newer condos which features a beautiful outdoor shopping plaza with nice shops like suisavon and amazing restaurants. We went to the seafood restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had in Japan.

Nice motobu hotel
They set room temp as 25c. I was able to boost it down to 20 for a little while but then it automatically went up to 25°. I woke up several times because it was too hot in the room. Very uncomfortable for warm natured person. Actual key need to be in place in order to use electricity. Quite bothersome. They have nice pool indoor and out. Nice public bath.That made my trip as quite comfortable even though I didn’t have a good sleep. I need to mention that they have a Sister hotel side-by-side therefore some customers made a mistake to go to the wrong one. Be careful.

This property should not have Rating it has everything is rusty and old. Pools are open one at a time The food is only Japanese and they don’t have anyone who speaks English. The shuttle only goes to the aquarium so plan for lots of taxis if you don’t have a car. We got stranded twice out dinning with no way back.

Great family getaway!
We enjoyed a one-night getaway to Mahaina Wellness Resort. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea and the garden pool. The pool was the perfect temperature and so relaxing after walking around Ocean Expo Park. We opted for the breakfast buffet, which was great! They had a huge selection of drinks and food items. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay.

Great, but beds/mattress need improvement
It was a great stay, we got an upgrade and delicious cookies for our marriage 1 year celebration, however, I regret that there was no couple's bed (just tween beeds) and the mattress was quite hard. I also would enjoy more if we weren't in COVID prevention times. Hope I can go another time.

Do not recommend run down hotel
This hotel is a run down hotel. The building have large cracks on various parts of the balcony of the rooms and building. When checkin at the front desk, staff explained the water heater for the indoor pool wasn’t working so the water in the pool is cold and no hot water for pool showers. I had called the hotel day prior before making the reservation to confirm about the indoor pool. The staff said water heater broke down this morning. More so, the room was nothing like the pictures on the website. Tatami mats were old and had a terrible mildew smell, small room too crowded for four adults, balcony had cracks and unclean. The smell of the room gave both my son and I allergies that we had to call the front desk to cancel the room and we will reserve a room at the Ala Mahaina hotel next door. The staff was understanding and was told they will provide full refund.

The bathhouse spa was amazing. They even supply tattoo covers for you to go in with tattoos. The children had wonderful breakfast selections and the pools are fantastic.

Really liked it. Room was a little on the old side, but it was kept clean. The only note that I have was that the room did not get very cool even with the A/C on full blast... during December. Was comfortable for chilling out in the room, but not for sleeping.

We stayed in the Masionette suite and loved all the space! It was nice having a sofa, chairs, and coffee table to use. The room seemed a little outdated but was clean. Comfortable beds and great location!

Really enjoyed our stay at Mahaina Wellness. Especially the outdoor pool was very refreshing during hot weather in the morning and our children enjoyed the pool very much. Breakfast was also delicious. Environment is good and there are shops and restaurants around it.

Very beautifull resort and room. Excellent breakfast. I wish it could be more chlorine in the indoor swimming pool. I like swimming every day, but I stopped doing so when I saw a lot of children playing in it, and I could not smell chlorine. Water will be healthier with more chlorine. Unfortunately Emerald beach is closed during winter: I was not aware of this.

Hotel Mahaina is located just a 5 minute drive from the Churaumi Aquarium. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit old, but the interior is clean. We booked a Japanese-Western style room which is very spacious and overlooks the sea. The onsen is located in another building and accessible via a link bridge from the building we were staying at. There is only one main onsen pool, so it is a bit small.

+ Double upgrade to Ocean Family Room for our 10D9N stay + Conscientious Life guard stand on duty upon seeing my 7 year old daughter enter the indoor warm water swimming pool. That's a very good place to spend her energy on a rainy day. + Every day of our stay, very young and energetic young house cleaning staffs first tidied up our room, then entered the friendly and senior house cleaning Aunties who inspected everything and replenished towels, drinking water, hotel guest attires and supplies to the room. The senior Aunties were so approachable and friendly to chat with. + The hotel standby so many umbrellas for hotel guests on rainy days. That's very thoughtful and nice gesture. + My family love the hair conditioner with honey smell. + Loves the lychee and sweet pineapples on breakfast buffet table. - Kitchenette in the room. However, will have to rent utensils separately. Will be good if there is at least basic set of simple utensils like spoon, fork, cutter knives, fruit knives, plates and bowls in place. Also simple detergent, sponge for washing the glasses. - Oden on breakfast table had soft tender pork on first few days, and then not more on the last few days. Would be tip top if we could enjoy more of the soft tender pork in the Oden.
