Property is in EXCELLENT condition, as it is nearly brand new. But don’t visit without making restaurant reservations in advance. We were told when we arrived that every open restaurant (some were closed) was booked out. This property is NOT walkable to other restaurants. Also restaraunts are not open midafternoon, at all! It is pretty alone on the beach, besides a pretty rundown neighborhood, nearby.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ruykyu Hotel and Resort, and I cannot praise the service enough. From the moment I walked in, the staff's hospitality was truly outstanding. The check-in process was seamless, and the reception team was warm and welcoming. The rooms were not only impeccably clean but also tastefully decorated, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The attention to detail was evident throughout my stay, from the well-stocked amenities to the thoughtful touches that made me feel right at home. What truly sets the Ryukyu Hotel & Resort apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Whether it was recommending local attractions, arranging transportation, or promptly addressing any inquiries, their dedication to guest satisfaction was remarkable. Additionally, the hotel's amenities, including the fitness center and spa, contributed to a well-rounded and relaxing stay. The attention to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene was evident throughout all areas of the hotel. This location was close to the airport and nice. Seems more of a family oriented location, pool area dedicated to suite reservations only and limited food options. I didn’t like that the pool cabana’s weren’t available to rent or reserve on a Regular room reservation. The restaurants fill up quick so need to make reservations, the menu is very limited and probably the worst part of it all. The menus seem set with meals and didn’t have food options available for vegan or vegetarian.

Excellent place to stay. Great stay, great on site restaurants. Reservations a must but be prepared to eat late. Due it Being a spa resort. Lot of families with kids. Best buffet breakfast I’ve ever had. This to get really packed so patience is a must.

The service is extremely poor for a 5 star hotel. They refused to help to arrange a car to pick me up from my office in Naha. The 4 star hotel in town that I was staying in for work before Ryukyu helped me in the end. So clearly a 4 star hotel is able to provide a better service. And then at their buffet they initially refused to show me which dishes have pork. They said they can only show which dishes have peanuts which is ridiculous. Only on my insistence did the manager ask the chef to confirm which dishes have pork. On top of that they do not even offer room service which is a basic requirement for a 5 star resort hotel. Expect a 4 star experience at best if you book this hotel.
