When checking in, they did not disclose to me the suite I rented was under construction. I was placed in a very outdated room with horrible bed, I was not staying in the room and inquired at desk why I was not put in a suite, she then told me the suites were not available and put in another room. She then told me, her manager told her to give me a late check out to make up the difference. This certainly did not as I had paid for a suite not a standard room. The clerk at the desk should have been transparent about the issue rather than trying to cover it up. Very disappointed.

The staff at the Grand Beach Inn are amazing. They help us fix a problem with our bed, were very friendly and turn what would normally be a frustrating situation into a really good experience. The staff at the bar-restaurant were also very friendly, cordial, and make really good old fashions.

Cute rooms but one bed when I arrived and pulled comforter back the white sheet was COVERED in long between hairs. The toilet was broken so you had to reach your hand down the back to flush it each tube. The tv remote volume didn't work and was set too high so we couldn't watch TV at night.

For an older building, the room was not bad. The only suggestion I would have for the. Alcott view rooms is to put up curtains. The light from the Inns sign outside was so bright that even with the shades, kept our entire room lit up through the night. Ge there to check in before the office closes, otherwise they just put your name on an envelope with you room number and key cards in a mail box. I did not like that.

The floors made my 2 years old’s feel black. The bed made my back hurt, the “pull out couch” was a small futon that was also very uncomfortable!! The remote controls to the 2 t.v.’s had buttons that did not work. The only plus was the hot water and shower pressure was good. The location was close to beach which I liked. The Rumorz restaurant served good food. Will not be staying there again

Photos of the bedrooms from the website were misleading. Deck sagged. Door hinge wasn’t attached. The tv remote didn’t work , I wanted to drown out the voices from the room beside us. The door between the rooms didn’t seal close. The light outside of our door didn’t work. In fact only 3 out of all of the rooms on the 3rd floor worked. I feel like this property has a lot of the potential. I also realize it’s off season but if some effort and maybe a few financial investments were made you’d have a nice location.

Property is in need of an update! The mattresses where very uncomfortable, very thin, little padding and all you could feel is the springs poking through. The shower was clogged and as you took a shower it filled the bathtub us so you had to stand in! Advised a guy that was doing maintenance around the property but apparently he didn’t care.

The room was spacious, the area was quiet, and staff were friendly. My one complaint would be that we had a balcony room with a light right outside the window. The blinds did not completely block out the light, so any time we rolled over it was bright enough to wake us up. Other than that we were pleased with our stay.

Bed Graveyard
The quality of care given to this hotel is at an all-time low. It felt like a graveyard for old, discarded beds, pillows and linens that NO one would ever want to sleep on. There was absolutely no life in this establishment. I felt bad for the couple a few doors down who unknowingly selected it for their honeymoon.

Needs major renovations
Great hot water was only plus. The walls are thin. Could hear conversations in next room. The hinge on the door to the balcony was broken off and there was a hole in back of bathroom door. We immediately contacted the front to let them know it was damaged before we stayed. The a/c /fan didn’t work. It was so humid and uncomfortable Bed was lumpy and we woke up more exhausted then when we arrived.

Our stay was just ok to say the least. Didn’t expect much from reading the reviews. I read that the pillows were small so we brought our own, read the beds were awful so that was given. The place was clean but nothing fancy and doesn’t feel cozy at all. Not much utensils just 2 spoons so I brought my own. There were lots and pans so that was good. Didn’t get to swim in the pool coz of the weather but had a nice view from our room. There was also a band there during Saturday evening which was nice. But overall don’t expect anything fancy as this place needs a few updating. For the price it’s decent. A lot of the places around the area are almost the same kind. If you want something nice stay at hotels like Hyatt, Ramada etc.

Worst place I have ever stayed. Check in was horrible, rude service to start off. Room is run down with molding in bathroom coming off the wall, no proper shower fixture, cooler pot didn’t work in room with bugs in the Kureg. Better off sleeping in your vehicle. Wish I could have gotten a refund!

Ok place for the price.
Overall, it’s a ok place given the price. It’s pretty clean. I booked the last minutes so didn’t have a lot choices. Pet friendly means dog friendly only. I guess you have to read the fine print first. Otherwise, you have to pay extra, or be turned away and having too long for another hotel on the spot. It’s a bit off the busy side of the beach but it’s very short drive/10 min walk. So location is not too bad of you want a bit quietude. The front office seemed unwilling or not allowed, to make a lot decisions and needed to defer to the manager. At least compare to all the places I have stayed at in the past, from the 4 seasons to Ramada Inn, that’s something that the hotel can do much better.

The room appeared clean and cozy. The bed was awful though. Might as well be sleeping in the floor. The tv didn’t work, which is not something that would bother most on a vacation, but I like to sleep with it on. So I did not sleep at all.

They need an elevator. Room was spacious and clean, however, bathroom sink did not drain well, no mirror other than above bathroom sink, no ironing board, hair dryer in bathroom was hard to use cord very short and was attached to left side of wall just not easy to use. Restaurant/bar on property was nice and pool was clean and warm.

This is my second time staying at the Grand beach, but unfortunately it was quick trips, so I don’t have much to base off. The room was great, except the toilet was an issue. The staff was great, but not so sure the sheets were clean? Overall a fun time.

We really enjoyed this hotel! While it is a distance to the pier the beach on this end is less chaotic and the trolley stops right out front to make it easy to get downtown! Our room was huge, the kitchenette was so convenient! Only suggestion would be to add a love seat or a couple chairs to the room. Also, our door going to the balcony stuck. My son and his friend had to call the front desk to be rescued after getting stuck on the balcony lol… All in all we loved the pool, the grounds and the restaurant! I think this will be our new go to!

It was just okay…but I think the whole area was not what we expected. I had a completely different idea of OOB. But, the walls and floors are so not sound proof! The noise was awful!
