Our hotel room was not worth the money. No toiletries provided. Room and bathroom was very compact and not worth the money. Breakfast was good and the location was convenient. Could have been lesser priced for the amenities.

The location of this hotel was excellent, just up the street off one of the main plaza. All the places we wanted to go were easily walkable. The location felt very safe and with multiple codes to get into the space, that added a layer of security. Of note, this property does not have an elevator so it was a lot of stairs every day. Having a full kitchen was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped, but did not have much room to leave your toiletries (e.g., shelves, counter space). Overall it was a good stay!

"The Posada de San José is deep into Old Town, quite remote, but reachable from the train station via the L10/L1 bus lines. Pack snacks if you get hungry between 4 and 8; there's no nearby McDonald's. When it opens, the on-site restaurant has great food; you shouldn't miss out. The place is very rustic ..."
