I recently stayed at the hotel while attending a Forbes event and was surprised by the early start of maintenance work on the ocean-facing terrace. Beginning at 7:00 a.m., there was noticeable drilling and worker activity directly outside the balcony. Given that the hotel was fully occupied by Forbes attendees, it is unclear why such disruptive work needed to begin so early. The noise significantly impacted the guest experience, and I understand that several other guests shared similar concerns. This may be an area worth reviewing to better align operational activities with guest expectations, particularly during high-profile events.

This place is a hidden jewel!!!! The view of Nice was breath-taking. The room was very spacious, from a European perspective. The staff was outstanding -- helpful, friendly, professional. The on-site restaurant is wonderful. I had the duck confit the one night I was there, and the meat fell off the bone but was not dryly overcooked. Breakfast is also a great experience. The hotel can be hard to find at first, because it is nestled in an old neighborhood high on the hill, with tiny curvy (left, right, up, down). This setting is part of its charm. My taxi dropped me about 50 meters away from the hotel, so I had to find it on my own. My phone data connection was spotty, there so I couldn't tell where I was with more than 10 meter precision. Several times, the local residents offered assistance about which way to go -- very friendly neighborhood. When I left to go to the airport, the hotel staff carried my luggage, and I found out that the normal drop and pickup point is only a short distance from the hotel, and in a straight-line path, so my initial drop was just an inexperienced taxi driver. I will definitely stay there next time I come to Nice, but next time I will stay for more than one night.

Room was clean but on the small side. Housekeeping didn't remove used coffee cups nor provide replacement coffee pods, which was odd. Staff was very helpful and recommended several excellent restaurants nearby. Breakfast was standard but good and Honesty bar was a nice way to have access to after hours coffee and wine.
