"The only thing we thought could be improved was the buffet evening meal, there were not many choices and for €28 thought it was a little overpriced. We are not fussy by any means but with a choice of only salmon kebabs & lamb chops thought it was a bit limited. Apart from that the breakfast was good and lot's of choices. We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely stay again."

"Where do I start with this amazing villa! My family and I, 12 of us, spent 2 weeks here to celebrate my 60th birthday and had the most wonderful time. The villa is huge and brilliantly equipped. It was super clean, the agent met us on arrival and explained everything. We had my grandson with us, he's not 2 yet and the ground floor is so well planned and so safe, he had the best time just running around this huge area. The pool and jacuzzi is fab, we paid to have it heated, the best decision, it was like a warm bath, the kids spent so much time in the pool. The tennis court is great fun, as are the other recetional areas. We were so lucky as the weather was perfect, if a little too hot at times, so we spent all our time outside. The terrace was perfect for dining, we had caterers cook us dinner on my 60th and eating on the terrace was just lovely. Our whole family had the best time at this villa, it's set in the hills with great views including super sunsets, we had hired cars and I'd say that's essential but we also used Uber a lot to dine out in lovely Olhao and Tavira. Moncarapacho is also great for dining, O Antonio & Apitit are great and Clamey bakery is super, also Spot coffee close to villa not to be missed.The island beaches in this area are stunning, we'd all been to the Algarve before but not this area, it was a revelation, we all want to come back and stay in this villa again!! The agent was very responsive and helpful, it's a lovely place and I'd highly recommend."

"Nelson & Paula are lovely kind beautiful people. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a safe comfortable memorable stay. The studio is exactly as photos show, cute, super clean, small and just enough for 2 people, all basic amenities are there. Everything works great and looked after well, nothing is broken loose or leaking, the maintenance is great. They send you lots of recommendations on places you can visit which I thought was a lovely gesture and very helpful especially as first timers in Portugal Algarve. Their communication and response rate is really good. The standard of their care is very high and personal. They both greeted and welcomed me & my brother outside the property, we arrived quite late at night, got a quick tour/explanation of the studio, they left us some snacks, juice & water as we were arriving late which was a very thoughtful gesture. We stayed for 9 nights, they did a clean mid week and again the level of cleanliness was golden standard. Fresh new sheets, towels, top ups, clean space etc. The hosts definitely made our stay much more pleasant. So thank you Nelson & Paula, you guys have been amazing. We truly appreciate the effort you invest into your guests, into the property, and into the service you provide. We would absolutely recommend staying here and would happily return again in the future. Wishing you both all the best and thank you again for making our first trip to the Algarve such a special and comfortable experience."

"Sorry I’m a bit late writing this review, I stayed at Guest Mar, end of April and had a lovely stay. I did not arrive until very late but there was someone there to meet me, explain all about breakfast and times and to show me to my room. I had a small double as I was traveling on my own, which had everything I needed. The breakfast was lovely and fresh, everything you could ask for, just like everyone has said, everyone was very helpful ( sorry forgot their names) also their are towels there that you can take to the beach with you. I also loved that if I came back early to get changed etc, that there was coffee, tea, cold drinks and cakes to help yourself too, up until 10pm. The rooftop is a great place to have your tea or the other free space where you can sit. Guest Mar is in walking distance to the harbour, shops, train station and much more. This was my first solo trip abroad ( I am 60) and I could not have picked a better place to stay, if I return again to Portugal ( I have a list of other places I would like to try and visit first ) I will definitely stay here again."
