A great place to stay for family's looking to explore a quiet fishing lake. The house was spacious and comfortable. The location is central to a variety of restaurants, and yet far enough away to hear the frogs and see the stars. You won't regret staying here if a lake retreat is what you are looking for.
Me and my family had a wonderful time here. It was clean and very beautiful right on the lake. My daughters both enjoyed the fun on the lake. Both got up early to paddle and fish right from the back door. We will definitely be back for another stay in the future!
Really nice place. Modern amenities and nice layout. On the water with access to “toys” (kayak, SUP). Nice quiet neighborhood. Was looking for a place that you can be in the water, go for interesting walks/hikes, and ride your bike. We did all that. And close enough to town so you can go to restaurants and shop if the weather not ideal.
Would stay there again.
Great place to stay. Had everything we needed, nice water toys, the house was equipped with all the essentials. We got groceries when we arrived and was set for the week. Location was amazing! Nice peaceful lake. The dock had a private entrance to the lake that was away from everything else. The kids had a nice time hanging out on the covered patio enjoying the joys of the water while staying out of the sun.
Will definitely be returning again. We are locals and enjoyed the short drive and serenity of the lake.
A little tough to find the front door the first time. You have to reach over a wood fence to unlatch the gate and then walk the garage. After that everything was fine. Clean house with beautiful views of the lake.
Lake St. Clair is a great lake for kayaking, SUP, fishing. This house is on a smaller part of the lake so there are no wakes from motorized water vehicles. The house was spacious for the 4 of us and had water access. We preferred our own kayak and SUP, but the owners had a 2 person kayak, a SUP, and numerous life jackets available. We would absolutely return for a girls weekend or a family weekend.
Our family of 5 (3 adults 2 kids aged 5 & 10) stayed here for 8 nights. The location is perfect. Right on the water of a gorgeous lake. If you enjoy kayaking or stand up paddling this lake is fantastic. The house comfortably accommodated us and could easily handle a couple more. Nothing fancy about the house, but perfectly functional. The provided paddleboat was nice, but like all paddle boats it is limited due to the effort it takes to get anywhere. We brought our own kayaks and were glad we did. The provided double kayak had no seats that we could find so it had limited value. The lake has lots of houses but 5mph limit over most of the lake so it is very peaceful. All in all a great stay and we can heartily recommend this rental house.
Our family of 5 (including 3 older kids/young adults) stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. I wasn't sure how much we would take advantage of the lake toys (SUP, 2 person kayak, pedal boat, fishing rods), but we ended up using them every day. Having 1 queen bed with full bathroom downstairs allowed my wife and I to give the kids some separation. The layout of the house was ideal for us to spread out when we wanted to. We stayed here b/c of the central location between Olympic Park (Staircase area is about a 1.5 hour drive) and Mt Rainier (about a 1.5 hour drive). The neighborhood was very quiet and felt safe and walkable. Grocery stores, restaurants, etc., are all about 15-20 mins away. Olympia is a cute town on the water and is about 25-30 minutes away - I recommend Budd Bay Cafe for a nice dinner on the patio by the water (not quite as pricey as some of the other places along there).
Loved our stay at this lake house. Just as advertised. It’s right across from an island and the neighbors are staggered so it felt very private and had beautiful views. We also used the double kayak and it was great! Host was very responsive and flexible.
Amenities very limited. We had 4 forks. Bring your own utensils. Beds were comfortable. Dock was a little scary. Host was responsive with my questions and lack of supplies you would think would be available. The AC kept the house cool.
The owner cancelled our stay because they double booked. Leaving us hanging out in the wind. We had to spend double what the stay would have cost us at a hotel. The owner offered no help. Do not rent
