This was our 2nnd stay at Wildflower Country Cottage. It is perfect. We have family living in the area and this will be our #1 choice for a place to stay when we visit.
Such a serene place complete with chickens, chirping birds in the morning. Daisy the dog was a beautiful presence too. Very kind and accommodating host
My sister and I enjoy the quiet location to relaxing and catch up for a few days. The house was well equipped and we loved having Daisy ‘check-in’ on us :)
Opening your door out into cornfields and beautiful gardens and wildlife will recharge your batteries. The little cottage is picture perfect and was an out of the way bit of peace and relaxation during our son's orientation stay at Binghamton.

Wildflower Country Cottage is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and get away from it all. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoyed having a cup of coffee and walking the property when we woke up in the morning. Everything was clean and the decor is warm and inviting. We only wish we had more time to stay there and are looking forward to going back in the future.
This was such a nice and relaxing stay. There was the beautiful location with its peace and quiet, while being 15 minutes from town. This lovely family has a great cottage that I hope I can get back to. Wonderful how’s who commented notate well and provide what is advertised.
The Wildflower Cottage was amazing!! So clean and equipped with everything you need. We got to meet Matt and Eliza and they’re great people. Very welcoming. We appreciate you! The dog Daisy added a great element, she was such a good dog. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cottage. :)
The property was gorgeous and serene. It was private and had beautiful views of the countryside. It allowed us to distract ourselves from real life and relax. We read, cooked, hiked, and completed work we have been procrastinating. The cottage had everything you needed to cook any meal you wished and I fell in love with the kitchen. Thank you for the amazing time we got to spend at your cottage :)
We cannot say enough about how adorable this place is. Probably the nicest grounds of any VRBO we’ve stayed at. Beautiful views, lots of places to explore and there were ducks and chickens! The cottage itself was well constructed, clean, and had everything we needed. We got the chance to meet Matt (and Wini), who were delightful. My only suggestion for renters is to be comfortable using the narrow spiral stairs. They were very safe but not everyone would be able to navigate them.
If in the area, I would highly recommend!!
The cottage was the perfect getaway from the city. There was ample space to work a bit but mostly relax. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook most of our meals for the week (pans, baking sheet, cooking utensils) and a solid pantry of basic spices and things. The fridge also had more space than it seems at first glance. The cottage was set back just off of the main house so we were close to the driveway but still had our privacy, and the surrounding area was dark enough that we could see the milky way at night! Daisy the dog was wonderful, and the property owners were great communicators before and during our trip. We did a lot of hiking in the area and greatly enjoyed the waterfalls, especially in the Ithaca area which was a bit of a trek for a day trip but definitely worth the drive. Gallery Three-Two-One was a great local stop for gifts (and the owners were wonderful to chat with), and walking around the cottage’s property at sunset was a treat. The wooden lawn toys inside the cottage were also a fascinating surprise. I think our favorite part was just sitting in the bench outside reading and watching all the animals go by, from chickens and birds to caterpillars and slugs. We had a tough time leaving, and would absolutely come back given the opportunity. One thing to note, we definitely suggest starting your driving directions before you leave the cottage as we ran into spots of no service pretty quickly after we started driving.
This is an ideal place to stay in an area that has limited options. The cottage is well-equipped with everying you need, and then some. The living area is comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need, the bedroom is large and the bathroom is large enough. Although it has a country decor, it is actually modern and looks renovated. Everything was clean. The host was pleasant and helpful and messages were replied to promplty.
The grounds are really nice, with beds of wildflowers (hence the name of the cottage) and other nice landscaping. Daisy, their black dog, was very sweet and followed us around whenever we were outside.
Our only issue was the TV remote stopped working (could not connect to the TV) on the 2nd night when we hoped to watch the NBA finals.
Note that the description states it has a full size fridge but it is dorm-size. Also, the semi-spiral stairs to the 2nd floor (bedroom and bath) are not for anyone who has mobility issues.
We hope to return here later this year.
We had a great time and felt very welcomed. Thank you so much for allowing us into your home! Daisy and the fresh eggs were a wonderful addition to our stay!
Me and my girlfriend needed a place to stay to get away from everything we needed a peace and quiet place and that Wildflower Cottage was absolutely perfect
