"We booked the Sonesta hotel months ago and when we arrived, it was no longer a Sonesta. There were no amenities provided in the hotel room (not even hand soap). The shower was dirty. The restaurant, bar, and breakfast area were all closed. Staff were kind, but seemed very overworked and overwhelmed. The pictures and description of the hotel did not match at all."

"(General) You get what you pay for. I should have done a little more research on where I was staying first. While my stay was fine and the patrons and staff were friendly to me, there were a couple issues that other travelers should be aware of. (1) Strong odor of cigarettes: While the room was designated as non-smoking, the entire property reminded me of a Vegas casino due to the smell. If you have aversions I would not stay here. (2) Overheard dangerous conversations: I was walking out of my room to the car and heard a man and woman yelling at one another in their room. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, just walking by. I heard the woman pleading with the man to leave but he demanded $100 from her or wasn't going to leave. That is all I heard, but it definitely made me feel less safe. The walls are also thin. I was startled awake at 6am by two children yelling profanity at one another in the room next to mine. (3) Cleanliness: There were some trash items left in the room and some components of the room are dirty and worn (e.g. carpet, walls). Many residents leave trash in the halls and I am not sure the frequency which is it collected. (4) Elevator operation: This did not affect my stay as I was on the first floor, but the elevator was marked as "out of order." I am not sure if the upper floors are in use?"

"The bathrooms in the rooms were very clean and well stocked. There was an overwhelming smell of. I don’t know what if it was the pancake batter left over from breakfast or whatever they used to clean the hallways. It was not pleasant. It may have been the smell of the carpet, the trash cans in the front of the building were full to the top throughout our stay. It appeared that no one had emptied them."

"No where on the property page did it mention that you would not receive towels or pillows for your stay. If they are allowing people to book rooms as a hotel the basic amenities should be provided or the guests should be informed they will not be getting towels to use the shower or pillows to sleep at night. The walls are paper thin and everything nearby can be heard perfectly clear at all times of day and night. Do not list this property as a hotel stay because it is not and should not be under the same category of even the worst hotels that at least provide a pillow and towels. Do not recommend for anyone coming from out of town for a hotel stay unless you plan to bring your own amenities and even then it is a very uncomfortable stay. The staff is not even around only during very limited hours and is not available to help with any issues. Do not recommend and will never stay at another WoodSprings Suite again."
