"The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Facilities in the guesthouse like the kitchen and sitting area helped us feel at home, On the day we had an early tour and could not get the free breakfast, the staff was nice enough to pack us a sack breakfast to take with us, which was so helpful! We were also able to see the northern lights one night from the balcony. Yay! Location was good as well, only 1 hour from Skaftafell National Park and about 1.5 from Glacier Lagoon. Just what we needed."

"Very large place, with full refrigerator, stove and microwave - even has a washer and dryer. Heating is in the floor, so slow to adjust to the temperature you want, but calling the property management was helpful in trouble-shooting what we should do to get the place cooler (in September!). Walkable to the new old town section and right across the street from a Netto. Very handy location."

"This was a favorite accommodation on our trip to Iceland. The location is quite and unique with areas to walk and enjoy the geothermal area. The breakfast was outstanding as was the service of the staff. The only thing that could be better is the maintenance of the rooms and hottubs which could both use a fresh coat of paint"

"This is going to be a spectacular hotel when it’s done. Unfortunately, it isn’t. We booked with an expected spa completion that isn’t even close. Generally, everything is “getting there” but isn’t quite ready. We would go back in a couple of years when everything is dialed in."

"The positives - we had an amazingly room looking towards the lake and got to see the Northern Lights!!! Welcome drinks on check in was a great surprise! The staff were exceptionally friendly as well. The negatives - the hallways were looking a bit shabby and I did not find the bed comfortable. When we went to the pool, there were no towels. Dinner was the biggest disappointment. which we found average and overpriced. The ribeye was tough and you had to pay extra for a side of greens or carrots when we were already paying 9000 ISK for our main course. Breakfast should have been included as an option to add into the room rate like everywhere else. Not sure we would go back. It’s a remote location so there were no other food options close by."

"Loved our stay here. Clean and posh. Two free tickets to the town pool/sauna/hot tub were included with our room and there was a nice free breakfast. Score! Staff was pleasant. The lounge area downstairs is really cool and we enjoyed happy hour and the different restaurants downstairs. Fish and chips were soooo good. Would absolutely stay again!"
