Room was small but had all the things you would want. Very comfy bed. Staff were attentive and yet you’d have to work hard to actually see them. Shower and bath were a marvel. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect if you plan to really explore Osaka.

It was relatively easy to access from Osaka Station, and I liked how the overall atmosphere felt similar to hotels overseas. You can also access the hotel via the underground passageways from Osaka Station. We stayed in a triple room and were able to relax comfortably with plenty of space. Since our stay was over the weekend, there was a wedding taking place, which added to the happy atmosphere and made us feel uplifted. The mattress was on the firmer side, which was perfect for our family. However, if you prefer a softer mattress, it may be worth checking with the hotel in advance. Note that there is no coin-operated laundry within the hotel.

A unique hotel with old world charm. Room was small but comfortable. Staff are kind and helpful. Entrance was a little hard to find but location is actually quite close to JR Osaka station once you figure out the right route. Also only a few minutes walk from the airport shuttle bus station.

Very close to Osaka Station and all amenities. When you come out of the Hotel yowards Osaka Station there is a lovely Iralian restaurant that is welcoming and serves a good choice of food. Beautiful hotel and friendly, helpful stuff. If you’re looking for a place to stay that gives off a more European vibe as opposed to Japanese or modern, this is the place. It is not situated in a busy street, so if you’re looking for more quiet, this is ideal; however, if you want more action, you have to walk a bit to get there.

Staffs are helpful with our luggage delivery to our hotel in Tokyo. However it was hard to communicate in English. Hotel is beautiful and excellent location

Close proximity to train station, shopping and dining. Right beside the train line but couldn’t hear the trains from our room (on the other side of the hotel).

Love the space and cleanliness. Great location, walking distance to several train stations. Shower and water pressure is good. There is an underground walkway from Osaka Station to the hotel. Noted: You can hear every train went by; if you are a light sleeper beware.

Good location and good breakfast. Very old property, not very clean. Old beds with old soft mattress, not comfortable. Property in poor condition.

This is an old western apartment building converted to hotel. The check-in is on the 8th floor. The classic elevator has a clock handle to show the floor number. I like the room and space with all the little amenities (pajamas, toothpaste, razor, etc)

We stayed at a near by hotel for a couples days first and extended our Osaka trip staying at Monterey. We wished we booked here from the beginning!! Nice set up, spacious room. We loved their pillows! Cute decors too. West Exit of Osaka Station from Subways was a little confusing but we got used to it. 7 Eleven was by JR station and one near by. Easy walking distance to a lot of restaurants and Umeda area for shopping and transportation. This will be our hotel for Osaka stay!!
