Het Hoogland D is situated on a small farmstead in Ossenisse, right in the heart of the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen polder landscape. Here you can enjoy a peaceful stay, whilst the Westerschelde and the countryside are never far away.



This single-storey holiday home sleeps 5 people and has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s a lovely base for a holiday with family or friends.



The Space:

Inside, there’s a peaceful, homely atmosphere. The colourful interior gives the property a warm and cosy feel, making you feel right at home in no time. Thanks to its single-storey layout, the property is comfortably and practically arranged for a stay of up to five people.



The property has five bedrooms, so everyone has their own space to retreat to. There is also one bathroom.



On sunny days, it’s lovely to sit outside on the private terrace. Here you’ll find a spacious garden table with chairs and a parasol, so you can enjoy breakfast together, have a leisurely meal or simply relax and reflect on a day out in Zeeland.



Het Hoogland is situated on a working farm where daily work takes place, so you’ll occasionally see a tractor driving across the farmyard. You’ll also regularly come across the friendly farm dog, a pony and a flock of sheep. This makes a stay here particularly enjoyable, especially for families and animal lovers.



As the farmyard is in constant use, we ask parents to keep a close eye on their children at all times and not to let them play near the animals on their own. As a guest, you are welcome to use the part of the farmyard adjacent to the holiday homes. The other barns, stables and pastures form part of the working farm and are off limits.



Are you travelling with a baby or young child? You’ll still have a lovely stay here. Please bear in mind, however, that for the time being there are no camp cots or high chairs available; you’ll need to bring your own.



Good to know: there are no TVs in the apartments. Also, the Wi-Fi at this rural location can sometimes be a bit weak or unstable.



For larger groups, there is also a communal area on the farm. This can be hired separately on request, for example for a family or group gathering.

Are you travelling in an electric car? The nearest charging points are at De Kamperhoek (Campensedijk 50, Vogelwaarde) and Resorts Knuitershoek E-Flux (Kanaaldijk 74, Ossenisse).

The Neighborhood:

You stay by the Westerschelde dike in Ossenisse, a small village in the municipality of Hulst, surrounded by polders and nature outside the dikes. Climb the dike for a walk with wide views of the water and passing ships. Close by are the Schor van Ossenisse and the tidal area Perkpolder, great for a ramble and bird spotting. Go a little further and the Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe awaits, with vast mudflats and salt marshes.



Cycle along the old sea dikes past Kloosterzande and Walsoorden, or loop past creeks and fields. For groceries, places to eat and a city walk on the ramparts, head to Hulst, about 14 km away. Terneuzen with the Scheldeboulevard is around 25 km. The Belgian border is not far, handy for a trip across the border.
