Tesla's Gastro House Plitvice

"Davo & Visnaya have a beautiful mountain retreat very close to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. The rooms are comfortable as is the property with many nice outdoor sitting areas. There is also a wonderful spa with hot tub and sauna that is beautifully kept, and a wonderful respite after seem hiking. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. I also recommend that you take your dinner there, as Visnaya is a great cook and is happy to meet your dietary needs. They also have a nice wine selection and a comfortable common space to relax inside if the weather is a bit cold to sit outside. Get up early to get a beautiful view of the mountains in the morning mist, and enjoy the sounds of the many birds. Likewise seeing the moon rise over the mountains is a site to behold from the back of the house."

"Staff was very helpful. Room was nice, beds comfortable. Great place to stay, so convenient to visit the lake. Breakfast and dinner was good. Liked that we got a second day stamped by the hotel for our second day visit. Had all the toiletries needed . Hotel bar and the patio bar were good."

"This was a lovely location and the family running it was friendly. Appreciated that the parking was organized by room to ensure everyone had a spot. Most unfortunately you had to pay cash if paying at the property which we did not realize in advance. This left us scrambling as we do not travel with a large amount of cash. Be aware of this when booking or you may have to pay expensive ATM fees. There were also additional rules around food in the room that we did not see on the “House rules” section of their website but that were posted at the property, something to keep in mind as well. The property is small and cozy, which does leave you at the mercy of the other guests around you if they are noisy which was unfortunately the case for us. In the future the property owners said we should have called them and would recommend doing that if you have a similar experience."

"I am picky about hotels but this was good. Plus, there is nothing comparable in the area. It's either camping or motels so this is a no brainer! I wish the pool was heated but the rooms are spacious and staff was wonderful. Breakfast int he morning was perfect!"

"We knew we were not going to be at the hotel long in Plitvice so we looked for a place that we could save some money and this was a way better place than we expected. It is not big - it is 5 or 6 rooms and a small kitchen so if you are looking for a lounge or something then this place isn't it. If you are looking for a clean place with a helpful host, then this is great. The shower was great too! Only a 5 minute drive from Entrance 2."

"Es war alles perfekt! Neue, sehr gut ausgestattete Villa, es war alles da was wir brauchten. Sehr gute Betten, alles sehr sauber. Gastgeber/in mega freundlich und jederzeit erreichbar. Pool wurde täglich geprüft, beste Wasserqualität- immer erfrischend. Bäcker und kleiner Markt direkt im Ort."
