Ostrów Holidays

I enjoyed my stay at Lwowska 1 very much. The experience exceeded my expectation. The room was very clean. It was facing the quiet street with a large window which could be opened wide. It was precious to me as I needed fresh air from time to time. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job. I was very impressed. When I checked in, I was curious if I could secure the attic room because it looked interesting. I was, however, advised that the attic room was one grade below the room I had reserved, so it probably would not be a good idea. Mark, a very helpful staff member, upon my request showed me the attic room in person to allow me to decide what I wanted to do. He was very kind and helpful. I loved the attic room on the 4th floor, but decided to stay in the room I had originally reserved on the 1st floor. I only managed to dine in the hotel restaurant once. The food was marvellous, and I managed to enjoy the hotel guest discount. The location of the hotel is amazing. I walked to the Old Town many times during my stay, each journey was just about 20-25 minutes. Basically, it was just a simple walk on the Main Street and GPS was rarely used once I took the route once. I could also do a variation of the walk by walking on the famous bridge- the views at night were breathtaking. Also, it took less than 20 minutes to the Main Street market. Or, I could take the trams, which was nicely priced. Loved the gym and the sauna. A marvellous experience.

Breakfast was fresh with a good selection and served by efficient friendly staff. Omelettes and other food items could be ordered individually. Rooms were large and clean and beds were turned down daily. Reception service was efficient and any questions we had were answered. The bar is open until midnight and there was live piano music on Friday with a medley of well known tunes played by a friendly pianist. Overall a very nice weekend spent in Cracow with the hotel adding to this experience.

Amazing stay, exceedingly courteous and helpful staff. Great room, clean, tidy & warm. Excellent breakfast too. Two slight quibbles - mattress was a little uncomfortable and WiFi signal was sporadic. Superb location too. Would thoroughly recommend.

Really well located hotel if you’re visiting Krakow and want to be in the heart of the action. There is a misleading sign for the “bar” which in fact is a casino where you have to register to get in - it takes ages. Didn’t have breakfast or eat at all so can’t comment on that. Room was a good size. Pillows super comfortable.
