"The property is very centrally located and an easy walk to the centre of town. Plenty of restaurants etc nearby and a Tesco round the corner. Beds were comfortable and I liked that one room had twin beds. Communication with the team was very good. Please note that parking is not included (I had thought a permit might be provided during our stay but check in details received the day before advised us to use a car park nearby). The Lion Hotel Shrewsbury

8/10 Good

"Ideal if you only need a bed for the night. Clean room and bed, very pleasant staff."

The Mill Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good

"Well located within 10 minutes walk from the station towards the city and then ten minutes walk to the centre of the city . Located next to the canal in a quiet location, albeit some rooms are next to main road but not an issue sound wise . Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast is self serve with wide selection of food and drink to choose from . Service was slick which allowed a good turnover of tables so not much of a wait to sit down with pre-arranged times for your entry . Only downside mattress was not the most comfortable at which others had commented when I was using the pool facilities so not just a personable opinion . Overall with breakfast included a good value hotel for a tourist city"
