Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech

"Beautiful resort about 30 minute drive from Marrakech. Huge rooms and great service (albeit at breakfast it was painful trying to get the correct coffee order before lunchtime). Pools are fantastic, they’re heated all year round. Our children loved playing in them. The food is limited however. The restaurants are limited. Five are advertised but at dinner there are only two plus a sushi bar in the main bar. Very expensive food, although delicious. There’s no dinner buffet which is a big miss with children. We got bored of the menu and irritated by the prices compared to port inn size. A plate of meatballs from the kids’ menu arrived as five tiny IKEA quality meatballs with no pasta. Pasta was an extra charge. Incredible! I would recommend hiring a car so you can explore and eat out easily. There is a good (free) hotel shuttle but only two return trips a day. Local taxis difficult to get and hotel taxis expensive. Concierge were very helpful however."

"Overall, a good stay with a pleasant experience. The hotel itself was lovely, but there were a couple of areas that could be improved. The air conditioning in the room could not be controlled directly, so we had to call reception each time to adjust the settings. Service was always polite and helpful, though the hotel did feel slightly understaffed at times."

"Place was beautiful…it was sketchy in the beginning when we were looking for the place…once we found it’s it opened into an oasis…. Pool was relaxing and the food scrumptious… beds were comfy… keep windows close … bugs fly in.. no screens"

"The tent was lovely, the pool area was thankfully not busy, so very peaceful and the BBQ was great (1 between 2 is plenty, very generous portion). I had major issues contacting the property through Expedia and that caused stress. I suggest they work that out. The evening show and food were poor."

"The hotel is something you won’t forget for long time. The garden and building designed so beautiful, make you think you staying in ancient Morocco palace. Room, amenities, staff, services, breakfast, lunch dinner,everything is top notch, the only thing might mention here is that staying there could easily break your bank."
