"One Two Four Hotel & Spa was a wonderful surprise. Most places that tout their remodeling & renovations tend to exaggerate. One Two Four looks brand new throughout the hotel. Plus the improvements include LED lights, touch controls and motion detectors. The breakfast buffet was exceptional as the chef Ashik made presentations of waffles and egg creations that rival Michelin restaurants in Paris. The private spa is a wonderful perc. "Fine for an overnight stay next to the highway, but disappointing for a Van der Valk hotel.
Some good points: easy location, ample free parking, and large rooms with balconies. However this hotel clearly isn’t run to the same high standards as others in the chain. The decor has bumps, scrapes and marks everywhere, and it’s not acceptable to let black mould grow in the shower. "

"We loved staying in this hotel located in the middle of everything and very close to the main square. We kept visiting the lively square twice a day as it was literally within less than five minutes walking. The room was spacious and clean. The ambiance of the multi story main hotel building and lobby is very regal and artistic. Our room was in backyard area. They have those rooms spread out in the backyard of the main building. The hotel has a blissful upbeat energy. The staff is courteous and helpful. The neighbors is lively and safe. Quiet at night time. The room was spacious and clean with a garden view. The bathroom is spacious and beautifully renovated: we had to be careful on the slippery tiles. The bathtub is nice but it felt non ergonomic. It was a wonderful experience overall and felt like home away from home. We would love to stay there again."
