I loved the room I received at this old school Florida hotel. It was clean and bright. The bed was comfortable and the air worked great. There was plenty of hot water. The deadbolt didn’t work and they told us it couldn’t be repaired and that there were no more rooms available. We simply put chairs and bags in front of the door. We’ve actually had the front desk at an another hotel key another guest for our room. So we are quite cautious. That’s pretty scary at 2:00 in the morning to have someone open your door other than the emergency latch. It could also be dangerous for many reasons. My friend had the “penthouse” ant the President and it was nowhere near the quality the name brings to mind. It was old and the balcony was dirty with cigarette ash everywhere. They must have left the doors open because the room smelled of smoke. I think I would have fussed about it because of my allergies, but we were just passing through. I hate she wasted $200 for an upgrade that wasn’t there. But for a couple hundred dollars you can’t go wrong if you need a unique boutique type hotel for an overnight stay with their king rooms.

Our stay started off on a frustrating note due to issues with housekeeping. Room service didn’t come on the first day, and on the second day we had to call reception around 5pm to follow up. After speaking with the manager, we agreed on a specific daily time for housekeeping for the remainder of our 8-day stay. Unfortunately, even after this arrangement, the room was not serviced at the agreed time the following day, and we once again had to contact reception. While the staff did offer a room credit as a gesture, the repeated inconvenience did affect the overall holiday experience and made it difficult to fully relax thereafter. That said, the hotel itself has a lot going for it. The room was excellent, and the amenities were of a high standard. The rooftop area is a highlight, although it can get quite crowded—on one occasion we weren’t able to get chairs, which was disappointing. Overall, a property with great potential and strong facilities, but the inconsistency in service needs improvement to match the otherwise high standard.

While our room faced the building next to us, the atmosphere and character of the hotel was top notch. William checked us in with enthusiasm and Alexander made our check out smooth and offfered some hotel history while we waited for the taxi he called for us. Excellent stay, loved the location to the beach and the restaurants on the strip.

We love this place. This is our second stay. The pool and beach are impeccably maintained. All of the restaurants are great.we preferred the Arkadia Grill as it was the most laid back restaurant. .

Breakfast buffet was amazing but make sure to get there at 7:30am because around 9am it gets packed and it’s hard to find seats. There’s additional seating outside and in the patio but if there's rain you have to sit inside
