"We felt as if we'd traveled back in time. The grounds are oozing history, charm and elegance. It was nice with the windows open, listening to the pitter patter of students’ feet heading to class, having a morning jog or groups having a laugh together. Most pleasant staff we’ve experienced to add to the terrific stay! In particular, we had drinks before turning in for the night, at the hotel bar. Kinga and Angela efficiently served our drinks, all while flitting around getting the place cleaned and set up for the morning crew. We had an excellent chat about a multitude of subjects and a great laugh. What a pair of wonderful Ladies! Honestly, we didn’t expect to have such a great visit. Clean rooms, common areas, modern and the breakfast was 5*! Our server, Sancha didn’t blink an eye when I ordered my fussy breakfast. Eggs cooked perfectly and the black pudding/haggis stack was worth the visit alone! I would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back!"

"For the money we paid the room was excellent. We had a lovely view of the park with a corner window which was Beautiful. The room was lovey and clean and we had tea coffee facilities, fresh towels and shampoo and shower gels. The breakfast was delicious for the money too. We would definitely revisit this hotel for the money we paid. The bus stop to Edinburgh city centre was right outside the hotel down some steps and ran very frequently. It only took 15 minutes to princess street and you could get to the Royal mile near the castle and there 10 minutes walk. Really good location and 100 value for money. "

"Reception Staff Member who welcomed me at 2am, and the Daytime Reception who saw me out, were both very friendly, and accommodating to my late arrival and departure. The Leisure Facility is all excellent, and staff encountered there were friendly and eager to please. Room Service Staff also very friendly. The Hotel is truly a lovely place to stay in all respects, and i look forward to returning!"
