"The staff was amazing. At check in the staff upgraded the rooms from court yard to lakeside as they was getting ready to close for the season and the rooms booked already had been deep cleaned and ready for winter. The showers was hot (the way I like it) with really good pressure. Even though it was the final weekend they still had most all of the breakfast out and just had to ask for the breakfast sandwiches and hot items and they made them fresh for you. Having a lakefront room we got to see an amazing sun rise the second day of the stay. I travel to the UP about 10 to 12 times a year and most times I am camping in a tent but with the colder weather and campgrounds already closed for the season so this was next best thing. Coming from someone who has stayed in the area for many years this is a good center point for so much to do, not just in town but for making day trips to see the other many things that the UP has to offer. I will be booking here again next year right around the same time as this stay"

"We had a great time with our dog at the beach. The rooms facing the lake was beautiful and you can easily go to the beach. Our dog enjoyed sleeping int he balcony. The staff were helpful and we had extended family visiting so the connecting room was excellent."
