First of all, this is a beautiful home in a wonderful location. As advertised, 2 blocks from the beach and downtown - amazing!
We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday, check-in was easy and simple. The first day there, the only downstairs shower was completely blocked and overflows. We have to wash all the mats and towels. They send a plumber on Thanksgiving which is both appreciatied and intrusive, with little regard or apology, although, I appreciated the quick response (but who wants a plumber at your “house” on a major holiday?).
Once the plumbing was fixed, and the towels were in the laundry, my sister-in-law realized that while the house was listed as hosting a capacity of 10, there were exactly 8 full sized towels in the home. Additionally, I later got an earful from my father-in-law that that downstairs bathroom door didn’t lock. When I brought this up with the managing agency, I was told that I should have called, that they have 24 hour service. I guess, I could have, but to call 3 times on a holiday seems excessive. As a property management company, these problems should have been addressed before we got there. Instead, I was told that I was only the second family to stay there after it was remodeled- am I to be grateful for finding the flaws? I’m assuming they have fixed these issues and going forward, it will be an amazing place to stay, I didn’t appreciate the inconveniences and general lack of concern for our discomfort, particularly coming from a property management company.
