Blue Horizons - Pacific Grove Beach House - On a Clear Day... You Can See Forever!

You won’t believe the view from this beach house: otters in the kelp beds, fishing trawlers, sailboats, and at night—the moon over Monterey Bay. You’ll be spending most of your time on the upstairs balcony or in the great room, which features a fireplace and a comfortable leather sofa and chairs. There’s a full bath with shower, a dining table for eight, a sunny kitchen with a professional gas range, and a breakfast nook that seats four.   The master bedroom has a King bed, a large TV, and doors that open to the living room balcony. The en suite bath features a double vanity, soaking tub, walk-in shower and a large closet.  Downstairs, there’s an office area off the entry, a laundry room, a bath with a shower, a den with two sofas and a TV, and two additional guest rooms. One has a Queen bed; the “blue room" has three twins (bunk beds and one separate twin) along with ocean-themed murals on the walls and ceilings. (NOTE: King and Queen mattresses are new and foam toppers have been added to the twins.)   This home includes a two car garage, a central vac, solar backup batteries (in case of power outage), and a portable propane barbecue (when you’re not enjoying one of Pacific Grove’s amazing restaurants). The coastal path is right across the street; Lover’s Point Beach is a five minute walk; Cannery Row and the Aquarium are just 1.5 miles away.  Pacific Grove Transient Use License #0404

Ocean side Comfort

We had a relaxing time at Blue Horizons, conveniently located in Pacific Grove--a central location to explore the Monterey/Carmel area. The house had a well equipped kitchen and a spectacular view of the bay and cute otters. Highly recommend for a couple or small group/family. Enjoy!

The location was FANTASTIC! Right across from the bay, parks and walking trails. Restaurants were never more than 10 minutes away. Right on the doorstep to 17 Mile Drive. Lots of room for the whole family. The upstairs family room with bay windows was the gathering spot. Just a terrific rent

We were very comfortable and happy with our stay. I wish there had been more pantry staples available (I don’t think Covid is a valid reason for not having cooking oil) but otherwise the kitchen was well-equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

Ocean View Paradise

The view is stunning. We saw otters playing from the living room, and there was even a telescope to view up close! I walked along the coastal trail into the charming town of Pacific Grove. Our group thoroughly enjoyed this spectactular property.

Wonderful Ocean Views

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this Pacific Grove Beach House. We could not have asked for a more relaxing stay. The ocean views from the home were lovely, and it was fun to watch the otters! We enjoyed daily walks along the trails, exploring the rocky beach areas. The house was beautiful and outfitted with everything we needed. The living areas were bright and spacious, and we enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen and the barbecue grill. Everything was perfect, and we would stay here again!

Exceeded our high expectations

The house was in an ideal location and was perfect for a vacation, both inside and outside. The ocean walks right in front are fantastic! Watching the otters, seals and whales through the front window was a delight. The road and location were surprisingly quiet. We had local family join us for lunch and it proved to be just right for all eight of us to catch up and dine together. Bottom line, the house was ideal for the great vacation, we had been hoping for.

Ma C's Monterey Beach House

My grandsons call Blue Horizons my Monterey Beach House because they love coming here every year. The big living room windows look out on Monterey Bay and a little sandy cove is accessible from a trail across the street. The kitchen is well-appointed and large enough to accommodate 2 or 3 people working at the same time. Bring your own food and condiments, and, if you want a casserole, bring a casserole dish. A large roasting pan and other pots and pans are there, as are plates, etc. and silverware.

Best Annual Trip Ever

We loved this property. The views from the living room were spectacular and we otter and porpoise watched constantly. We had stormy, high waves, rain, and then a beautiful sunny day…loved all of it. We called maintenance to relight the fireplace pilot light, and he was very responsive and came within an hour or so. We will be back.

Location, location, location

We absolutely loved the location and the amazing front window. we watched sunrises, sunsets, sea otters, dolphins, grey whales, pelicans, sea lions, harbour seals from the main window. We walked to lovers point, walked to kissing rock, walking to the aquarium. It was all so convenient. The stairs are quite steep so be aware, and the upstairs floor creaked so when i went to the bathroom in the night it disturbed others. But we would definitely stay again.

Wonderful view!

We watched rafts of otters cuddle their babies and sleep the day away and mimicked them by lounging by the front window. The kitchen was more than adequate for our needs. Note that the main living area is up a flight of stairs. My aged parents were happy to climb up the stairs for the views and happy to take the master bedrooom on the 2nd floor but left the ground floor alone except for when we left the house for walks along the shore.

2nd time here

Wonderful! Great location to walk to everything: Restaurants, grocery stores, Aquarium, Cannery Row, and plenty of coastal paths. We ate out and cooked in the house. It has minimal, but the basics to cook. Be sure to bring your own spices/oils/coffee if you do cook. The home is clean, again, with minimal everything you need. Comfy beds, fans, and room to put stuff. Nice use of space to separate your group if you need to. We will be back.

Birthday Girls Trip

Love, love, love the location of this house! It is within 10 minutes of everything we wanted to do while in Monterey...the Aquarium, the wharf, 17-Mile Drive, etc. We were also able to walk to a couple of restaurants that were less than half a mile from the house. The pictures are very accurate to what the house itself looks like. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals throughout our stay. The bed upstairs was very comfortable, but the larger bed downstairs was really hard. It did not have a pillow top mattress on it like the one upstairs. The views were amazing! We were able to watch otters, sea lions, and an incredible amount of birds playing in the bay in front of the house. There is a great walking path directly across the street from the house that takes you along the beach. This was a wonderful trip, and we highly recommend this house to anyone looking to relax while enjoying everything Monterey has to offer.
