Saltbox - Pacific Grove House - Two Blocks to Beach and Downtown!

Ready for a great vacation in “America’s last hometown?” This is it.  You’ll find vintage charm around every corner in this classic Pacific Grove home. The cozy living room (with seating for four) opens to the dining area (with a table that expands to seat 6) and a coffee station (with a Keurig and a drip coffee maker).   Sparkling quartz countertops and a beautiful tile backsplash highlight the kitchen, which includes a four-burner gas range with a griddle, a rolling butcher block island, and a 24” dishwasher. The laundry room is behind the kitchen, along with a full bath with a curved shower.  The light-filled bedroom off the entry has a Queen bed, comfortable reading chair, and an adjoining office with a desk. A narrow stairway leads to the master bedroom (King) and a third guestroom with twin beds. The upstairs bath has a clawfoot tub/shower.   Relax in the sunshine in the Adirondack chairs out front, barbecue out back, stroll to the beach, or head downtown to explore restaurants, cafes, galleries, boutiques, antique shops, and a cinema. Great stay in Monterey!

The property was charming and plenty of room for adult and two teens. Great location just off the beach and blocks from downtown. Neighborhood was quiet. Highly recommend.

Ladies’ Trip to see the Monarchs

A Little Gem

We had a fantastic stay at the Saltbox. It was the perfect size for our family and was stocked with everything we needed. Parking was a challenge, particularly on the night of our late arrival, but we made it work and got to brush up on our parallel parking skills. We loved the location and the quick access to PG, Pebble and Monterey. We can't wait to return next year.

Perfect family spot

This small house was the perfect place for our family to gather for 3 days and enjoy the ambience of the Monterey area. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, always appreciated, and the neighborhood was quiet. We were even able to always find a parking place nearby on the tiny street.

Great location and space!

We loved staying at Saltbox and would definitely stay here again. Very short walk to many good restaurants and short walk to the Lovers Point. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked. Photos are accurate.

Loved staying at Saltbox!

I recently stayed here with my sister and brother in law while we were visiting Monterey. The house was very cute and well maintained with comfortable beds, great central heat, and a lovely kitchen. Check in was clear and easy! Would highly recommend for a cozy retreat.

Perfect location

Saltbox was a wonderful place to stay, had we been there longer we could have taken advantage of the well stocked kitchen for longer stays. The beds were very comfortable. I appreciated the bedroom/bath with walk in shower on the first floor for my mother who can't do stairs. It was the perfect distance to walk down to the water each morning to watch the sunrise and close for walking to the restaurants/shops. The communication was easy and we had no issues with our stay.

Charming

Salt box was a perfect choice for the 4 of us. The location couldn’t have been better, we never drove anywhere. Shops, restaurants, the beach, movie theatre and museum were all an easy short walk. The kitchen was well stalked as well. Anything we needed for cooking was there. Very enjoyable stay.

Great little place

Fantastic location. Clean and nicely appointed with dishes glassware pots pans everything you need. Would definitely stay again. Property manager and maintenance company quick to return calls and very accommodating. Slight glitch with checkout time but quickly and courteously resolved. Would definitely stay again and recommend

Great location for downtown and beach

We liked this place very much. The neighborhood has a lot of historical significance and the proximity to the beach, cannery row and downtown Pacific Grove was awesome. Beds were good. Kitchen great, everything worked. Parking was fine.

West Coast Fun

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for 2 couples. Well supplied and very comfy. Great location and walkable to the water and restaurants. Cute town and everyone was so friendly! Thanks!! My only suggestion would be a patio umbrella for the table out back. Could keep in the shed when not being used.

Fabulous stay in Pacific Grove

This was a fantastic place to stay. Everything so clean and well equipped…loved the puzzles! And the coffee making apparatus is the BEST!! (Get beans from Captain+Stoker a few blocks away on Forest.) Back patio was lovely. Really comfortable communal space of kitchen, dining, living areas. Two minute walk to ocean and the seal pups, two minute walk to cafes and shops. Great location for a day trip to Big Sur.
