"Our stay in this Hyatt was unfortunately disappointing for several reasons.
The first issue was that there was active construction taking place right beside the lobby. This was not disclosed before our arrival, and it significantly affected the first impression of the property. Seeing construction equipment and barriers upon entering the hotel took away from the resort atmosphere we were expecting.
The second issue was the inconsistency in customer service. During check-in, we noticed another guest being provided with detailed information about hotel amenities, activities, schedules, and services by a staff member at the next counter. In contrast, our check-in was very brief, and we were simply handed our room keys with little information about the property. When the other guest mentioned they were celebrating a special occasion, they were offered a room upgrade. We were also celebrating a birthday, but when we mentioned it, we were told the hotel did not do anything special and that we could purchase food or services if we wished to celebrate. The difference in treatment was difficult to ignore.
The room itself also fell short of expectations. The carpet felt sticky and unclean, and several bathroom toiletries were either missing or insufficient. When we requested additional items, they were eventually delivered but left outside our room door rather than being placed inside.
