"The place is about 20 min away from downtown Hilo. It is in a very tranquil village and yrs a perfect rainforest escape. Mango is so cute. We saw all kinds of plants and animals (birds, chickens and pigs). The house has everything needed,very comfortable. On Sunday we visited the nearby local farmers market which is great! We’d love to book it again. Thank you Matt!"

"My trip to this place was for one day so I wasn't able to utilize everything to the fullest. Like other comments say, its stocked with lots of linens, swim gear, games, tv's in all rooms. My only concern would be the Air-conditioning. It doesn't have central air. It only has one A/C unit, the little R2D2 portable one that has the exhaust in the window, in the living room. They have little fans clipped on the bed stands in the bedrooms to help circulate air in the rooms since there are no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. By 9pm the house was cooled enough to sleep but it's end of May for my stay so not to hot. In a few months its going to get hotter and may be a bit warm at night. Other then that its a cozy little place. Be ready for the frogs at night. They are loud and the windows are single pane windows. So you will hear them. It can be peaceful if you like the sound of nature. If you prefer dead silent you better bring air plugs and even those may not be enough. I did request to check in a bit early since we had a luau at 5 and they were able to accommodate. So much appreciative for that."

"The rental was very spacious (kitchen, living room, hall to rooms) for a two bedroom house. It exceeded my expectations on space. We were out and about during the day, we came back to sleep at night, all the fans and the open windows in the rental was sufficient enough to keep my party of 5 cool as we slept. There's no a/c. Parking was a drive through so we parked right in front of the door. There's only one bathroom, but fortunately it all worked out. I would definitely rent this place again."

"This place was overpromised. It was not clean, smelled, and was not okay to stay at. We opted to just get a hotel room in Hilo instead so we were out 2 nights of rent for this place. I attempted to contact the host and got no response back. Seemed like it was a purposeful rip off. The neighbors were all yelling at their children and the dogs next door were barking not stop. We had just stopped to drop off our stuff and were so disappointed we decided to look for some where else to stay while we ate supper. We went back and grabbed our stuff and left as we were so appalled at the conditions of the place. Houses like this should not be allowed on VRBO to stay in."

"We enjoyed our stay in this huge home.. The large kitchen Is a good place to cook meals together and the yard was the perfect place to enjoy them. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked well. There are AC units in the lower bedrooms, many ceiling fans and moveable standing fans for other places in the house. It’s a good place for multiplecouple or families to spend time together."
