"The house and property are beautiful. They have five fruit trees that you can pick from, it’s peaceful and serene. Beach towels, a few chairs lots of snorkeling equipment to use! We really enjoyed our stay. It was fantastic."

"We stayed at the Peacock House for our family vacation on the east side of the Big Island. The team stayed in great communication even as Hurricane Lala was hitting the island. Our flights were canceled from Oahu so we lost a day, and Matt was great to work with us!He was honest about the fact that most of the island had lost power in the storm, including the house. We were given options and decided to stay anyway. It was a little rough without AC, fans, and lights, but it was an adventure and the house was great! We used the propane grill to cook and made the most of it : )I would recommend the house for a group, and Matt and team were so great to work with, even under challenging circumstances."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Communication was excellent always (before arrival & during). We could not get the Television to work even though instructions were left. After leaving a message on the App there was a response very soon after I sent it and the owners arranged for a lovely gentleman to contact us by phone and then came out to take a look. It turned out it was the batteries were not working in the remote, which we suspected. I recommend this home for anyone looking for tranquil environment with space and good amenities. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was absolute perfection. There was plenty of space for the entire family, accompanied by gorgeous ocean views and daily visits from local sea turtles. The location could not be better—it served as a convenient base for day trips to both Hilo and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. The property had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and effortless vacation. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"The house was overall good. Very clean. It was just the wife and me, so very accommodating for us; however, the living room only has a couch and one chair (seating for 4) . . . otherwise, bar stools and kitchen chairs would be needed for additional guest. The porch (lanai) area was excellent. Three ceiling fans in the living room and kitchen area but only two worked. The doorknob lock on the guess bathroom door needs fixing. If you use the guess bathroom and lock the door, the door is very difficult to unlock. It happened to me once, but after a few minutes, I was able to unlock it. The wife got locked in the bathroom and could not get it unlocked. I tried unlocking it from the outside and that didn't work. Finally, I slid a butter knife under the door, and she used it to pry back the latching mechanism and was finally able to open the door. Air conditioning only in the master bedroom makes it very comfortable at night to sleep. Beware that the ac unit's power comes from the circuit breaker that powers the bedroom. The wife used a hair dryer when the ac was on, and the circuit breaker tripped. The rest of the house can get very stuffy if there is no breeze coming off the ocean during July. The owner is very, very nice, pleasant, and communicates very well either by messaging or phone. All of the appliances work as best as we can remember. The laundry room is outside the master bed behind the garage."
