"Classic Hawaiian home in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Loved the large dining room table and the lava shower. The pool was great to have. We were gone most of the day, but great to come back and be able to cool off. Loved all the windows and doors to bring in the air. Much needed due to the August heat. The house is pretty secluded. Not a far drive to the Foodland in Kea'au, but quite a drive, with traffic, to Hilo and beyond. Chose this location for the neighborhood, pool and proximity to Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. We were 5 adults and 2 little ones and the space was more than enough."

The Jungalow is thoughtfully equipped, impeccably maintained, and very comfortable, with a calm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Efficient air conditioning was a welcome luxury, offering a cool, crisp contrast to the warm tropical air outside, while the beautifully landscaped grounds—lush, green, and gently swaying with island breezes—provided a peaceful place to unwind to the sounds of birds and rustling palms. Ample living and sleeping areas add to the comfort, filled with natural light and a relaxed, airy feel, while the well-appointed kitchen—with cool granite countertops and a gas stove—made meal preparation a pleasure. Communication with the host was outstanding throughout our stay, with prompt, friendly, and helpful responses. Conveniently located near farmers markets, it’s easy to enjoy fresh local produce and island treats during your visit. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Hilo/Keaʻau area."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Didn’t get to meet our host Tara, but that was because we only had one day to see the sights and had to leave early the next morning. Tara’s place was exactly as described, very clean, decorated so well that you felt right at home. Our only regret was that we didn’t have enough time. Would have loved to stay longer, as long as Tara would have us we would most definitely come back. Highly recommend this cute little place, great shower, beds and pillows were very comfortable. A very welcoming place, Tara takes pride in providing a wonderful stay away from home"
