"There was a medium size cockroach inside the bathing tub and it was very stubborn to get rid of it. The front office lady blabbered something in her own accent was very hard to follow. Parking was a nightmare. You should know some gymnastics and know how to come out of the car after you parked in the tight spot. It's highly possible your car will get stuck and damaged. Good thing is it's nearer to the airport and restaurants. "

"This property looks a bit better in the pictures than in real life but it was nice. The host was very nice and a great communicator. The one suggestion I have is to bring your own body wash, shampoo and conditioner because the product that was supplied seemed old and cheap and there wasn’t enough toilet paper provided for the amount of time we stayed. Other than these minor details it was good."

"Ingrid was an amazing host. She’s very friendly and helpful and her kitchen has absolutely everything! I love that she provides an easy system for recycling and even composting at the property. Useful food is also kept in the unit fridge and not tossed which is an important value when it is expensive to shop and you can never buy only small quantities for a short stay. We loved the outdoor table on the lanai most! All in all a terrific stay in a quiet location very close to downtown Hilo. We hope to come back."

"We were in Hilo for two short nights to see and hike the volcanos. Rained the entire time, but we didn’t let that stop us. The house was perfect for our family. We truly just slept there, but it had everything needed to cook and relax. Good location. Approximately 45-50 minutes to the volcano and about 10-15 minutes to all shopping and dining in Hilo."

"The place was quite clean, fresh-smelling! The unit held an air of relaxation that was perfect for our weekend getaway. We actually canceled some of our excursions to relax in the rooms. This was our first trip to Hilo and we were surprised at how close we stayed to many of our destinations. Being right off a main road made it super easy to find our way around!"
