"We really loved our stay here - not sure why the reviews are so bad. The farmhouse has been renovated and is gorgeous - you have a bedroom with another bed on a mezzanine for the kids. The rooms are clean and have aircon (thank goodness... it was 35 degrees :-)) There's parking right in front of your room and a big pool and pool area to use - if I understand correctly there is a small charge to use the pool but we were out every day until late so it didnt apply. "La struttura si trova a pochissimi chilometri dal centro di Matera ed è circondata da un giardino non molto grande, ma molto curato ed accogliente. "Francesco and Melissa were great hosts in this stunning house. They gave us loads of information on where to go during the days and where to eat in the evenings (excellent restaurant every time). The breakfast was nice and beautifully prepared, like everything else they did (attention to detail was perfect). The room was unbelievable for the price, a huge bedroom, a bathroom bigger than my living room and a massive outside area on the roof with an outdoor shower, which we loved."

"Great location, walkable, safe, close to everything. Apartments are very charming, unique just like the owners and family members. Train was 2 hours late. Arrived after 2AM. Owner picked us up at the station. I’m this was a wow moment. Experience it to feel how we felt. Thank you. "

"I was with my wife in Apulia for 8 days. We changed the cities every 2-3 days. This apartment was the best one. And the owner was really nice, and recommended us to visit the right places. Many thanks for that. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the owner and he even reserved the parking lot for us. I recommend everyone to spend the night here in you go to Tarent. Right in the center and quite easy to find a parking place."

"Right in the heart of the historical city of Matera you will find Cavoso Hotel. We stayed in one of the cave rooms which was much more airy and larger than I expected. The room had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. The hotel gives you a choice of breakfast in your room or the dining area. We tried both and enjoyed the variety. The view from the hotel is simply stunning with an incredible view of one of the famous stone churches on the hill. All the staff at Hotel Caveoso were helpful and had wonderful tips for dining and touring options. Everything we wanted to see in Matera was within walking distance from the hotel. Overall a wonderful stay."
