Basta guardare una foto dell'Eremo per cogliere l'unicità e la bellezza del luogo e dell'edificio, immerso in un mare di foreste e scorci mozzafiato. Cortese ed efficiente il servizio di colazione, più che soddisfacente per qualità e quantità, grazie anche ad una cucina molto ben attrezzata ed efficiente. Per il resto, va bene la spartanità che concilia lo spirito, ma c'è un limite a tutto, quindi anche alla spartanità di un ostello. Camera e bagno angusti, con mobilio ingombrante e inadeguato; carenza evidente di pulizia, con diffusa presenza di ragni e insetti lungo muri e pavimenti; nel bagno, intere file di piastrelle in procinto di cadere in terra; doccia che non scarica; cattivi odori provenienti da doccia, lavabo e bidet ogni volta che si aprono i rubinetti e quindi si scarica; totale assenza di luci in camera, fatta eccezione per un faro che però si comanda dall'esterno (!). Non si discute il luogo stupendo e la benemerita iniziativa di fare dell'Eremo un ostello, ma non basta la buonissima volontà dei pochissimi addetti, occorrono pur sempre un personale sufficiente, una competenza e un'esperienza adeguate all'impresa. Oltretutto ci vorrebbe relativamente poco ad eliminare gli inconvenienti citati.
Sicuramente chi sceglie un eremo per soggiornare non può aspettarsi il classico albergo. Qui le stanze sono le vecchie cellette dei frati, piccole e raccolte solo l'essenziale,
Un soggiorno piacevole in uno degli incantevoli eremi del Parco della Majella, situato nel verde e con un affaccio bellissimo sulla vallata. La struttura è per sua natura spartana, ma offre tutti i servizi essenziali agli avventori. Gentilissime e disponibilissime tutte le ragazze che gestiscono l'eremo, in particolare Anna Maria e Angela, che ci hanno dato tutte le informazioni di cui avevamo bisogno e tanti spunti per escursioni e posticini dove mangiare. Torneremo sicuramente. Una esperienza consigliata a tutti gli amanti della natura e della storia.
