About this property

Hidden Gem Cottages: Sapphire Cottage

  • Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The house has a king bed in the master with attached bath, a secondary bedroom with 2 queens, an additional hall bath and a queen air mattress for additional sleeping space. It sits on a stocked pond with a fishing pier. You will have access to fish and relax at our catch and release pond. The outdoor space also includes a patio with gas grill, large front porch overlooking the pond, covered back porch overlooking woods and a fire pit.

    Our home is situated on the back of our 8 acre property overlooking our pond. It is new construction featuring modern farmhouse decor for a comfortable, cozy feel.

    Guests have access to the property around the house and pond. We will respect their space and privacy. We ask they do the same for us.

The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with a homey feel. It was nice to sit on the porch and hear the sounds of nature without any man-made sounds interfering. There is a 12 cup coffee maker with coffee and sugar provided, but not a Kurig.

Perfect Hideaway

A perfect place for a one night stay or a week. Very nicely decorated and super clean. Lots of things to do and see within a fairly short distance. Plenty of room for kids to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities.

Clean and tidy

Very very clean cabin with cute surrounding grounds. No funky smells and all of the linens felt crisp and new. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

Omg! The best cabin ever!!! We loved it!!

This was the best cabin we have stayed at, so roomy, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer are a plus! Pond was great, fire pit although we didnt use it, we saw deer the last morning of our stay. Location was amazing and only 15 min from Palestine!! We will def be back.

Beautiful Property

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The pond was a real highlight, stocked with plenty of fish for a fun and relaxing time. The area is beautiful, offering a peaceful and scenic escape. The owner was very friendly and professional, making our experience even better. Highly recommend.

Great place. Great stay.

Came to area to visit family. Place was super nice. Grandkids came over and had a great time fishing in the pond and setting around a campfire. Susan was an excellent host. Quick to respond to any questions. Thanks for a memorable stay. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for girls trip!

The house was set up so perfectly for a group of 6 ladies that wanted to have space to chat, share food and play cards. The open living space meant you didn’t miss one word of conversation while you fixed a snack or a drink. Loved the outdoor seating areas and pond.

Beautiful location

The property was beautiful. Quiet and private. Loved watching the deer. And the kids really enjoyed the pond fishing. They had items that you tend to forget which was awesome. The beds were comfy and plenty of space was availabile for all of us.

Anniversary Getaway

The cabin was very nice, clean and peaceful. I was pleasantly surprised with the amenities. The host was extremely professional, has great communication and responds quickly. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. We plan to return in the near future

Better than expected

Very friendly, welcoming folks. The place was very clean inside and out. The pond is stocked with some big catfish. The outdoors area is very nice. We have recommended this to other family and we will most definitely be back

Very nice!

The house was very clean and comfortable. There was a very nice outdoor area to grill and a few outdoor areas with tables and chairs to sit out under the tall pine trees. Even though we didn't fish, we fed the catfish in the pond from the nice pier. The host was very responsive to my calls and texts. Would definitely stay again!

BYOP bring your own pills!

Our family members between ages 63 to 88 spent the weekend together here and had a wonderful time. Between us all, we tote a lot of pills. Made s’mores, saw some huge fish, and laughed till we hurt.Wonderful surroundings. Good food at Rumps bbq.

Great cabin

Stayed at Sapphire Cottage during a hunting trip at Gus Engling WMA. The cottage was only 15 minutes from the WMA, making it a great location. Stayed with 2 aother hunting buddies. The cottage was well stocked coffee, soap, shampoo. Susan was a pleasure. Excellent communication and helpful when we needed assistance. Highly recommend and definitely plan to return to enjoy the beautiful property and great cabin. Susan, thank you do much for hosting us!

Super cute cottage and decorated very tastefully. Well stocked with soft towels, washcloths and bed linens and had ample space in bedrooms and bathrooms to unpack and spread out. House was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a relaxing weekend get-away. The boys loved fishing in the pond and had a successful catch and release day!Definitely would stay here again if we're ever in the area.

We travel to Palestine frequently for work and this was by far the best stay I’ve had. The property is beautiful and fishing after work was exactly what we needed. Host was super quick to solve a minor problem. Definitely going to be our go to from now on!
