"We arrived at 2am and the host still greeted us with a smile and got us checked in and to our room quickly. The property is on a quiet street but literally around the corner from the main square, shops and restaurants and is modern, well maintained and the cleanest we have had in Colombia. The breakfast is delicious and good value and we were always offered tea & coffee throughout the day. All the staff were cheerful, really helpful and friendly. "El hotel contratado fue malo, primero el baño estaba fuera de la habitación el cual era compartido, contraté con parqueadero para el carro y no había me dijeron q lo dejara afuera y les dejara las llaves por si tocaba moverlo, cuando me fui a bañar me negaron el agua caliente porque era en el horario de 7pm a 10pm. No lo recomiendo "

Terrible experience

"The original booking was for Tierra Roja, but the hotel was in a bad section of town and down very muddy roads. The hotel manager sent us to another hotel they managed, but didn’t adjust the price until we noticed that it was listed for quite a bit less on hotels.com. They agreed to a partial refund and we thought everything was fine. We were the only ones staying there and the lady who took care of the hotel left early. Just before midnight someone tried to break into our room. We scared them away and called the manager who was in another town didn’t answer right away. She sent the police, but the culprit had escaped. We tried communicating with the manager by phone and messaging, but she never responded so we spent a sleepless night worrying if they would return, locked in our room. The manager never answered our calls and we left early the next morning."

"This is a great hotel. Love the decor. The staff were exceptional. It's in a great location. It was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good, a nice variety. The room was extremely clean and again the decor was the best. Great size bathroom with hot water, very good water pressure. The bed was very comfortable. Only negative maybe get more comfortable pillows. Amazing views from the roof. But overall this is a great place today. I would definitely stay there again. "

A wonderful stay

"We had a great stay in this hotel. The layout is great. The rooms are filled with a feeling of history. The pool is lovely. Breakfast was substantial and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. A very short walk and you are in the central square of one of the most beautiful towns in Latin America. What more could you want. A quick thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so memorable. Until next time. Muchas gracias."

"Fantastic hotel! Our first night there was one other family in the hotel. The second night we were the only ones! The photos online are very accurate. Staff were very friendly and had lots of recommendations for restaurants for us. The hotel is a one minute walk to the town center. The only slight negative, which the hotel cannot control, were the church bells ringing from the nearby church, EVERY HOUR. Other than that, highly recommend. "
