"This property is a hidden gem. We used it as our base for a short trip to OBX. Columbia is a peaceful town with a lovely boardwalk along the Scuppernong River and this home is located within walking distance of the small main street and boardwalk. Coming from the triangle area, it was nice to have a shorter drive to get to our accommodations coming down and to be ahead of the OBX return traffic coming home. Plus, it's so much more affordable than staying right on the coast. The house itself was great for our family. There is a small loft area with a bean bag chair (which isn't pictured clearly in the photos) and it was a big hit with my teen. He'd climb the ladder and have a bit of privacy at the end of the day to chat with friends. If we decide to vacation in the area again, we'd definitely book it again."

"Very relaxing week. Porch was our favorite spot. Watching the storms roll in was really amazing. Great fishing off of dock. Quiet location. House has lots of charm. Enjoyed our time there."

"This property, house, & view were amazing! Everything was clean & in working order, We chose this location because we didn't want to be crammed next to so many other homes on/at the beach. This property was secluded, yet easy to drive to, & was about 1.5 hours from the OBX beaches that we chose to go to. I cannot say enough about how available & communicative the host was with us. Thank you Tracy! While there, we even recorded dolphins playing (in the bay? river? sound?). My favorite spot on this property was sitting on the back porch, just relaxing & taking in the view. We definately want to take our extended family on vacation to this home/property in the future (sooner than later). Afterall, why would we choose anywhere else when I give this location a 10/10 rating! :-)"

"Property was secluded, quiet and beautiful. Host, Fraser, was on site and very accommodating and communicative. We loved sitting on the dock and saw dolphins swim by a few times. We love Edenton and the area. Will def stay again."

"Staff were efficient, friendly and professional. Check-in took less than a minute. Room was clean and the entire hotel was quite nice, however the shower floor and refrigerator shelves had perma-stains that were no big deal, just a little unsightly. Pool and workout room were both very nice and well maintained. Breakfast was about what anyplace offers: Juice, coffee, cereal & milk, and waffle batter. For the price it was definitely well worth it. Would recommend highly so long as your not looking for luxury."

"Very nice property. The view was gorgeous. It was so peaceful to sit out on the deck and look at the water first thing in the morning and at sunset. We loved the sunroom! The house was also very well stocked with everything you need to cook, including spices and some condiments. It also had all the essential toiletries, hairdryer, a first aid kit, etc."

"The house was wonderful, right on the Abermarle Sound , with the Chowan River as one of its tributaries. So if you’re a fisherman like me, this spot is incredible for catfish, skate and crabs galore. I caught some of the biggest crabs I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’ve been crabbing 50 years. Almost all of the neighbors were enjoying life on the water, fishing, swimming or just watching the incredible sunset every night . The house itself was perfect, clean , and had everything a vacationer could possibly need. The owners are incredibly kind and responsive. The bathroom is beautiful and the washer/dryer look brand new and are a lot nicer than the ones I have at home. The town of Edenton is a short drive ( 7 minutes) away and it is a lovely town with some very nice places to shop, walk around and enjoy a meal. If you came across this house and the dates you want are available, grab it, you will absolutely love it and want to come back year after year."
