"Wonderful stay. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen, lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans (one thing I would suggest is a new can opener the one there does not work well). Beds were comfortable. The host was very accommodating (we locked the keys in the house and she responded to us right away). Would stay there again. Went to pocosin nature preserve to photograph the tundra swans. Drove to pea island for more photography. Excellent trip."

"If anything, the description undersells how pretty this property is and how relaxing just sitting in front of the huge windows with your morning coffee can be. The home is set up and equipped to be very renter-friendly. Snug Harbor is quiet and homey yet within easy reach of lots of fun places.we went as far afield as Halifax and Roanoke Island, and also spent a good amount of time in Edenton, which is areal treasure. We also just spent a lot of time relaxing in the home, feeling completely at ease. We tried fishing without any success but caught some very large crabs from the dock. We’re already thinking of times we can return. Loved this place. "

The property itself is spacious and thoughtfully laid out, making it perfect for multiple families traveling together. Everyone had room to spread out, relax, and enjoy their own space while still feeling connected.What really stood out was how generous and well-prepared the host was. They provided an amazing array of water gear—lifejackets, kayaks, and plenty of other fun items to enjoy the lake. Honestly, there was more to do than we could fit into a week! It felt like every day brought a new adventure, and the kids (and adults!) were never bored.This home is clearly cared for with love and attention to detail. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already dreaming about our next visit. Highly recommend for families looking to make lasting memories together!"
