When the tram is running its easy to get to downtown at moment buses do the journey from nearby square, easy wak.Mainland Ferry terminal is very close by, cautioun though if you have a big luggage take a taxi the 60 steps up to the road are a good climb."

"Nuestra estancia en Elios Room fue buena en general. Como su nombre lo indica, se trata de habitaciones y no de un hotel, algo que es importante tener en cuenta al reservar. La ubicación es muy buena. Está cerca de la playa y del centro, y se puede llegar caminando fácilmente a ambos lugares, lo cual nos resultó muy cómodo. "We had a few things we wanted to do in Messina - the Caravaggio paintings at the Museum, the astronomical clock and a few other things. We had a wonderful stay - the hotel is so convenient, we loved the breakfast. Seems I should say more, but will simply add that we would / will stay here again and strongly recommend it to others."

"Room 403 is extremely clean, all sanitary fixtures are well maintained and are exceptionally clean, room floor is wood finished and absolutely clean, windows are well maintained fully operable, HVAC and associated thermostat are quick response, intelligent and rapid acting without any operating noise. Elevator is perfect. Beach is less than 15 minutes walk, very clean and water is clear blue and warm, Restaurant breakfast is full, plenty and delicious, dinner is delicious and delicious local Ciro Bianca wine cannot be found elsewhere in Europe. I and my wife loved the experience of staying at Continental Hotel last two weeks and swam most days for long hours in straight or laid in the sun for long hours. Railway station is 10 minutes walk and Corso Garibaldi is 18 minutes walk. Highly recommend Hotel Continental, as it exceeded expectations. With our greatest apopeciation and gratitude to management and staff at Hotel Continental. Regards with our best wishes"

"This property was very clean. The room has air conditioning that worked well. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the door room did not close well. We had to pull it shut to latch. We paid for ‘sea view’ but the bushes were too high to see any kind of view. Additionally, I forgot to list that it was 3 adults. Despite the room description stating it slept 3 in the room, they made us pay an additional $100 per night for the extra adult. There is no elevator. Only stairs. So if you have a big luggage, be ready to carry it down and up stairs or roll it up the big hill outside. Overall, I was happy with the location. The pool was great, the views from the property was beautiful. The restaurant was very good. One thing to note, they do not provide bottled water. It is all extra charge for the mini fridge. Also, the beach is a micro beach. There was no live music."
