"Overall the stay was good! Unfortunately, the pool was not open, pool operating times are not posted on their website. We brought bathing suits and were disappointed to learn it was unavailable. There weren't enough towels, we had to keep asking for more towels, housekeeping cleans every other day. The building is old and could use decor updates. Rooms were clean, however bugs were found in the bathroom, no one rushed to clean it up when it was reported. AC unit was very loud and difficult to sleep with. On the flip side, staff was very friendly, breakfast was good and the fitness room was ok. The hotel is located in walking distance to the downtown area which was a plus for us."

"Magnolia House exceeded our expectations in atmosphere, accommodations, location, service, food, and smiling faces. Oh, and the magnolia tree, a magical place for a cup of coffee. Thank you so much, Sean and Nicki. We look forward to visiting again. "

"Clean and comfortable rooms. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with options beyond the standard fare. "

"Room was very clean, comfortable bed, beachfront was awesome! My only issue were the walls are very thin so hope your neighbors are quiet. Mine were not! They talked and laughed very loud all evening long. I don't mind people having fun but these guests did not respect other neighbors. I had to call front desk twice. Not sure that helped for it went on well after 11 pm. I had to turn up TV just to drown out the noise. Besides that, a good stay. Restaurants and bars were not open in the hotel so don't count on that. Maybe to early in season. Overall, a 4 star rating."
