Panicale Holidays

Stayed here for 3 nights while in Florence. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station and about a 10 minute walk to the Duomo so for us was perfect. While the hotel is a little dated it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our room was at the opposite side of the hotel to the tram lines but we could still hear the rumblings as trams passed. This didn’t affect us or our sleep. The staff were very friendly, helpful and always on hand. Would recommend staying at this hotel if you want to be away from the tourist chaos when you walk out of your hotel. Plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Great breakfast buffet with lots of variety, including fruits, bread, juice, cheese, smoked salmon… the staff at the front was helpful too. We asked them how to get to Portavenere and they offered much help on that. It turned out a great escape for peace.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size, with a comfortable bed and sheets with all needed amenities including a coffee maker and steamer.The shower is huge, beautiful bathroom with lots of space, great AC and blackout curtains. We had what would probably be considered an undesirable room because it was right next to the lobby, but we did not hear any noise and had easy access to everything so I imagine all the other rooms are just as nice or better. The breakfast was amazing buffet style and was included with the price. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do. If you are an active person and are accustomed to walking regularly, then you will be fine. We were able to get to the Duomo in 15 minutes or less and it took us about 35 minutes to get to the river and the Florence overlook. It was wonderful and we would stay again!

The location is beautiful, the view of the church and part of the bay is a good morning wake up dreaming view.. my only complaint was the arrival… the office was close at 4 pm and nobody was answering the WhatsApp contact. A lady open the door to the building where the office was located, and we where able to contact a different phone #, however we have to wait another 20 minutes to finally have the phone answer (they didn’t call back, even though they know we were waiting).. non issue if you are not tired, but we were exhausted after a long trip and a message from us was sent ahead of time notifying of the time of the arrival.. Otherwise, beautiful location
