"Stayed there with the expectation of an amazing getaway with the wife.
Upon arrival was greeted by very rude front desk staff. Condescending and sarcastic.
The room was acceptable but the entire place had a very very dirty feel about it. Almost like it never really gets cleaned.
For the prices the are asking, was not worth it."
"From the start we had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They do ask about the timeshare offering, but aren't overly pushy about it. If we had been staying for longer we would likely have gone to the 1.5 hour meeting as they offer nice rewards for it. The condo was larger than expected: one bedroom and 2 full baths. One bath had a shower, and the other had a shower/tub combo. We booked the Villa Niaia room. I don't know what the difference between the room types are. But at the resort, there is an older section and a newer section. We were in a newer section. It has been renovated and had solar panels, with air conditioning included. Some other rooms you have to pay $12/day for AC. We looked right out toward the pool and golf course. You could see the ocean behind that. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make meals. The unit had a stack washer and dryer to be able to wash your own laundry. The pool stays open until 11, and wasn't super crowded most of the time. We enjoyed the hot tub at sunset. Very relaxing. There is a restaurant and bar with live music at night. They also have community events. There is sand volleyball, basketball, and grills with tables around the property. It is conveniently located. Across the street is Longs Pharmacy(CVS). And a Walmart about 10 minutes away. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It was so enjoyable."
"Second time staying here and we love how relaxing and not-busy this resort is. Unfortunately, this time there were some issues that could’ve been and should’ve been handled. We had 2 rooms and both didn’t have any soap for bathroom sink provided. We had to call housekeeping to get some so that we could wash our hands after using the bathroom and it took over and hour and 2 calls to get it. We found cockroaches in a couple of areas (the pool and outside our room) and when we called to have someone take care of it, it took over 4 hours and more calls to the front desk. On top of that, the Holoholo store on the property, had THE MOST rude worker. She was in the coffee bar area and every time we went, she was so clearly irritated to have to help anyone. She was equally rude to everyone I saw her come in contact with so I know it wasn’t just toward us. Spoke to the hotel manager, Sally, who was aware and advised about the situation. She was very apologetic but this store isn’t actually associated with the resort.
Whatever you do, don’t eat breakfast at the Piko restaurant in the resort. Beyond expensive and none of us enjoyed the food! Lunch bar is great for food however!"
"The rooms were very spacious, but the furniture is kind of outdated in the TVs were really small, but it’s great if you have a big family or a lot of people traveling with you"
Ocean Beach Home In The Heart Of Authentic Old Hawaii
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was absolutely perfect! Greg was very attentive to anything we needed and making sure our stay was perfect. The home is as beautiful as you can imagine and directly across from the beach. My wife and I could not say enough about how perfect everything was for us and we will most definitely plan to stay here in the future. Mahalo!"
Spacious, Luxurious, Tropical Townhouse Style Condo For A Truly Aloha Vacation
2/10 Terrible
"The stay was disappointing overall. We encountered lizards and worms inside the house, and a water leak detector alarm kept going off through the night, making it difficult to sleep. The house felt messy, poorly organized, and very outdated. Much of the furniture and appliances were old and worn, and the mattresses were far below the standard expected for the price. There were also “do not touch” signs throughout the property, which made the environment feel unwelcoming. The check-in and location instructions were overly complicated yet still missed important details like the correct parking spot. The condo was difficult to find due to poor signage, and it took us about 30 minutes to locate it.Communication from the owner was frustrating. Instead of primarily using the Vrbo platform, the owner repeatedly called and texted directly. The owner also frequently sent messages saying community management required guests to follow various rules, adding unnecessary stress. The thermostat was locked at 76F, making the unit uncomfortable. Overall, there were too many restrictions and unnecessary messages, while important practical information was missing. The property and experience did not match expectations."
