Stunning property.
We arrived after sundown and were greeted with a blanket of stars over the property. Our cottage was beautiful and the sounds of nature made falling asleep incredibly easy. We woke up to an incredible view and the sounds of the farm to start our day right. Then we had some of the homegrown coffee and couldn't be happier we got to stay here.

Far away from the city, just the way I wanted it. Only con is that there is no AC, otherwise it was great

Peaceful
It was a super pleasant stay; the ducks in the morning were especially entertaining and the neighborhood was sleepy and quiet. Loved it!

Gorgeous Views
We had a great time with our stay. The cabin was clean and had great views of the property and the ocean. We loved all of the farm animal friends that came to visit us on the porch! It was perfect for a couple nights while we explored the east side of the island.

A farm experience
If you love animals, this is a fun spot. Cats, ducks, and chickens visit you at your door every day. The sound of tree frogs will put you to sleep every night, and rooster crows to wake up to every morning. There are also 2 cows that are just a short walk down the hill and past the campgrounds also located on the farm. The location of the tiny house is to the side of the owner’s house, with a privacy fence to the side of the tiny house. Directly in front of both houses is a deck with 2 chairs that is positioned so you can watch the sun rise over the ocean. The house itself we were a little surprised to find that the front of the house had 2 entrances, one for the bedroom and one for the kitchen and bathroom, meaning that you must go outside to go between the two. The bedroom is really sealed off from bugs but the kitchen and bathroom ceiling had gaps and holes to the outside, as well as gaps at the top of the screen door. We didn’t notice any mosquitoes come in but there were moths and geckos that frequented the kitchen. We were bitten a few times by the very small fire ants, at no fault of the Vrbo hosts, just something to be aware of. The water heat in the shower comes and goes which wasn’t fun. The waterfall is not on the property, it is a few streets away, and the hosts talked with us and told us how to get there. It was pretty cool, but be very careful as it is a difficult trek. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Overall we were happy with our stay

A fine stay if you like glamping
Overall for the price and everything, it was a good stay but a few things were iffy: 1. the pillows provided were a bit smelly, though everything else was clean 2. The shower would change temp constantly and we often had to take cold showers 3. the bathroom and kitchen are NOT connected to the bedroom (though it is next door) so if you have to go in the middle of the night you have to go outside and try not to fall off the deck 4. the animal sounds are LOUD. I've lived with chickens before and thought I knew what to expect. The problem was, it wasn't really their animals that were noisy it was somewhere nearby in the neighborhood that must have had 20 roosters, barking dogs and mooing cows. It was a lot. Consider bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper. 6. Two times we got back in the evening and there was no more parking available. We had to park off of the street and walk up. 5. The hosts were friendly but a little hard to get ahold of by text sometimes. I think as long as you know what to expect (glamping) it's fine but you shouldn't go in thinking it's a normal Vrbo stay or you might be disappointed.

We had a comfortable stay at the most gorgeous location! The apartment was comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a full kitchen to prepare meals. The host welcomed us to explore the grounds and gave us our space to enjoy our trip.

Could be a Cute Bamboo Shack
I’m 79 years old and felt there were two real safety hazards. 1. No hand rails on steps and no railing on the narrow outside walkway that connected the bedroom with the kitchen and bathroom. 2. The electrical system was substandard. Basically it consisted of extension cords, very few outlets and a coffee pot cord that wasn’t long enough to reach an outlet if it was on the counter. The shack needs some major maintenance and a professional electrician. We felt the hosts were unfriendly. It was raining when we arrived. We stood in the rain while the host stood a distance away under cover determining which guests we were. He did not offer to show us to the Bamboo Shack, which was not in an obvious location. The hosts should greet their guests rain or shine. When my friend couldn’t locate the dumpster for the required emptying of the trash at checkout, she asked the same host where. Okay—but there was no additional conversation and no offer to take the trash to dispose of it. Quite rude, headsets on, a lot of pot smoking going on. All that being said, the mattress was comfortable, the bathroom clean and pleasant, there was good water pressure. I liked the open air (screened in) concept of the kitchen. It would be especially nice if the sun were shining and the wind wasn’t blowing. Unfortunately that was not the case, Because there were no enclosed cupboards, the dishes, silverware, etc. were dirty. Lots of easy solutions to the multitude of problems.

The property was fairly priced and beautiful scenery. It was a little farm life and relaxing. However, there were a few things I felt should be addressed. One the post included a microwave. There was none. We bought food specifically for one. It said a stove top- which had been just one burner. The shower would not get warm. Also, the bathroom was loaded with fruit flies at night. -I know you cannot control bugs. I just feel hanging a fly trap or something of the sort would have helped. Instead of a face full of fruit flies whenever you used the bathroom at nightfall. The bed had been a twin, which would have been nice to have been disclosed. They also talked about Wi-Fi and a waterfall in walking distance in the post. Both I would have had to reach out to the host to find out more information. Felt like there should have been a greeting note of some sort with that information. Parking was a little confusing and inconvenient. If it wasn’t for me having to contact the host I would have never found the location.

One night stay
The bed was comfortable, however the reason for the lesser rating was that it wasn’t advertised properly. What was listed on the site was “ Activities included (hikes to local waterfalls, stargazing bonfire nights, full moon gatherings, reiki sessions, massage, creative expression session - art supplies, drinks and music outdoors provided), healthy home cooked meals” We didn’t really experience any of that. There was a deck we were able to sit on and stargaze on our own. We asked about yoga and they said we are welcome to do it wherever. There also wasn’t any home cooked meals and we had to ask for coffee, which I’m not sure if it came from their farm. We also asked about the waterfall/hike but weren’t given very clear instructions on how to get there.

Aloha Rachel, im sorry theres just be a confusion. We do offer all those activities & meals but they need to be booked in advance and are paid activities. when you book our place you are only paying to stay the night. We weren't even aware that you came with all these expectations or we would've provided some explanation. We do grow our coffee & do provide it to our guests. We are sorry if there is any confusion in our listing description & we will fix it right away. Mahalo for your feedback.
